The LSN profile is mine.
I did receive an emailed rejection. Since the wording is so polite and I really just had to apply because of the "what if" factor, I'm not bitter. I don't have access to gmail at work, so I can't c&p, but this is what it said:
Dear Ms. [LWoods],
The Committee on Admissions has carefully considered your application. I regret to inform you that we are unable to offer you admission to the New York University School of Law. We expect more than 8,500 candidates to compete for admission this year, which means that the Committee must make difficult choices.
We hope you understand that our decision on your application is not an estimate of your potential as a law student or an attorney. Since the vast majority of our applicants are clearly capable of success in law school and beyond, we inevitably must turn away many whom we expect will succeed in law simply for lack of space in our class. Please accept our best wishes for your educational and professional success.
Sincerely,

If most people only get the snail mail, maybe I got the email because I'm an alumna of the undergrad? Or because two of my LOR writers are Law alumni?
Anyway, hope those who haven't gotten an e-mail with Decision Letter Sent receive good news ASAP! I still love NYU and am happy to answer any questions about life in the village (via PM, this thread is too monstrous to follow
).
