Hmmm... I submitted 11/10 and was at "still processing" for a long time, but I just went under review last week (11/24). Applied RD. But I know NYU tends to take a while with these apps, so who knows?

Still processing at 11/1. I'm just slightly above both 25's, though.

Definitely RD, not sure about ED (I don't know anything about ED timelines - sorry!)

Here are "Sent" dates from LSN and the decision dates. Dulcatis made it, and she tried to keep out all ED dates and make it just for RD, but she says a few ED-ers may have slipped in.

Looks like if you're an admit the absolute latest you'd hear back is around 12/9!

Bad news if you are not yet UR?

Absolutely no idea. I suspect no one will be able to tell you since NYU didn't have a status checker last year.

What I will say is that if you applied up through the first week of November or so and don't hear back in December, things do not look good. (I don't really know about mid- to late- November applicants bc I didn't do much research past my own submit date :) )

Also, that's not meant to freak anyone out, and LSN is a small sample size, so I'm sure it's not applicable to everyone, but I think it's generally better to be informed and a realist than to hold out lots of hope for months.

Although I'm sure most ITT will hear back in December! :D

Also submitted 11/10 and I am still at "Application being processed". It seems like they are pre-sorting for review order since you are above both medians, while I am at LSAT and below GPA.

So I think it's safe to say that the next 2 weeks will be insane for me/us. *runs around in circles*

I am slightly comforted by the short turn around times for Complete -> Decision for admits last year. If there was no status checker I don't know what "complete" means, but whatever that date is it seems like a lot of decisions came within 1-2 weeks of it.

It will be interesting to see if the status checkers change to something like "Decision Made" (à la Duke) or if they will just remain at some random status with no indication of a letter (looking at you, Georgetown) -- but I guess we'll know soon!

Yeah, really hope the status checkers change. Otherwise, waiting all day at work to go home to check my mail, with day after day of hope followed by disappointment, will be torture :(

Does anyone else find comfort in the cute kitten pictures in Eskimo's avatars? Thank you Eskimo. :P
Haha I totally do! That kitten is darn adorable.

Well there's always the old admitted students site trick... or does that not work anymore?

I think someone mentioned somewhere that last year someone was able to get on to the admitted students site but wasn't actually admitted. So I'm going to stay away from that trick...

I heard about that rumor too, but I personally know a few people that were able to log in and were admitted, so who knows? Maybe it's just a rumor? Maybe an isolated incident?
