Guys, remember how I decided they were coming via sewer rat? Yeah, sewer rats have very short legs, they can't a lot of distance in one day. Give them some time.

I have "Decision Letter Sent Out" for 12/3/2010. Is it safe to assume that it's an acceptance letter if I have competitive stats (75% at LSAT) ?

The reason I ask is because I can't check my mail until right before Christmas or so
That's the word on the street. Check back on TLS when people get their envelopes and you'll know then.

Don't SAY that :( :( :( They shouldn't say "decision letter sent" if it hasn't been sent! :(
You is funny.

And I'm pretty confident purple envelopes will be here tomorrow.

I was checking compulsively until 5pm today, no status change, and then I looked right now- (11pm) Oh mang, I'm with you guys now hoping it's an accept, my #s are definitely borderline for NYU, well here's my info.

Not quite a 3.7
172, 15X (retaker)
UR 10/29
Decision letter sent 11/17/2010.

when you say 172, 15X do you mean your first LSAT was a 150something?

I think it's kind of funny the NYU thread is like six times longer than chicago. Granted, they are smaller, but it's still funny.

There seems to be more interest in general on TLS for NYU, but also remember that there is action here, whereas Chicago has told applicants nothing since we've submitted, aside from Complete and UR.

I'm sure the UChicago thread will blow up when they start getting acceptances and whatnot. Just like the CLS thread will get way less weird in January...

Hahahahah. I think I'm going to the NYU waitlist, booooo. Congrats to everyone who heard today though! Especially the ED kids.

Chicago also has a twitter where they notify both to "expect decisions in the next week" and "we will be making our first calls to ED applicants today"

Not much reason to post there until then.

+1 but if you're RD don't fret just yet, the historical decision dates suggest that as long as you're RD and hear sometime in December it will be good news and that there will be more acceptances throughout December.

I'd say, when we start seeing lots of borderline people with numbers like ours getting in and not us.

which i really hope never happens

Looks like this person just had a 12/6 "decision letter sent" status, like a bunch of people did yesterday, and decided it was most likely an acceptance, which is probably a fair assumption.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
