Is there anyone in the Bay Area who is planning to go the reception on February 7th? It could be informative, but I groaned when I saw the location.

Those of you who are in, I forgot to report that I got a package from NYU yesterday (I'm in NYC). Contains a guidebook as well as a book containing info on all of this year's professors.

Ooh, very nice. I'm in Brooklyn, so mine should arrive in 3 to 4 weeks.

Nothing wrong with San Francisco - I just don't like having to take MUNI.

Just got my purple envelope! Sent 11/15, received 11/22, went Under Review 12/17 (though it said 12/20), Decision Letter Sent 1/7 (though it said 1/10). 3.78/171, single take, Ivy. Live in Manhattan so it didn't have to get very far (THANK YOU USPS for working through this pseudo-storm!)
Got deferred by Columbia ED on Monday, so VERY psyched.

Congrats! Hope it takes away the sting of Columbia. Uptown is boring, anyway.

Status checker said 1/7 and letter was dated 1/10? Or vice versa?
And congrats!

It took me nearly 2 weeks to get my purple envelope from NYU after the status checker said a decision was made-- hang in there!

The status checker updated on 1/7 but said 1/10, just went back to the letter which did in fact say 1/7.
THANK YOU so much everybody!! I'm about to go raid the bookstore!

Does NYU have rolling admissions? How long does it typically take to receive a decision after going under review?
