So people whose status changed to "decision letter sent" have STILL not received their envelopes? It doesn't seem like it could take that long...

Indeed... 12/3, address in NYC, and nothing. See ^ for speculation as to why.

Re: NYU 2011
I posted a few pages ago that the law school sent them to the nyu mail center. we don't know how long it takes to have them sorted and sent to USPS. They might spend a day or two sitting around.artichoke wrote:So people whose status changed to "decision letter sent" have STILL not received their envelopes? I think tomorrow will be the day for the NYC folk to get their envelopes.

WHY would they change people's statuses so early? That is just mean.obrienfa wrote:I posted a few pages ago that the law school sent them to the nyu mail center. we don't know how long it takes to have them sorted and sent to USPS. This all seems to be unchartered teritory for NYU too. I think they are still figuring out this whole status checker thing. Maybe after they get 2404104013510 phone calls complaining and asking what or where their decisions are, they'll change tactics next year and only post status changes when arrival is imminent.artichoke wrote:WHY would they change people's statuses so early? Plus I bet they don't realize the delay in sending them out to the university mail place versus just dropping them off at a post office.

Re: NYU 2011
Hey guys, does anyone know if any of the "decision letter sent" group who are ED had below a 172? It seemed to me that for the RDs they worked from the high LSAT/lower GPA people down to the lower LSAT (168-170)/high GPA group (3.8X+). I'm wondering if they may do the same with the EDs. If so, I think for those of us who are ED and around a 170/3.9 should be hearing something soon. Anyone care to speculate on the likelihood of this possibility? Is this just wishful thinking?
Edit:Never mind, I saw that a couple of 169 EDers got their status change.

Is it likely that decisions being sent this month are mostly acceptances? My understanding was that acceptances go out first, with rejections trailing in during the later months...

Re: NYU 2011
There's no way to know for sure until they all come in. They are almost 100% likely to be "mostly" acceptances, and it's likely that they're all acceptances. But no one knows yet!steller00clara wrote:Is it likely that decisions being sent this month are mostly acceptances? Though at this point I just want SOMEONE to get a purple envelope. That means that the admissions office definitely isn't just fucking with us.
