How is it possible that people in Brooklyn don't get theirs today but Jersey and New England and Michigan are getting theirs?

Hopefully the Bedford post office is better-run. This is crazy! Luckily, my neighbors might interpret me running down to the mailbox in my boxers to be a bold and intriguing act of performance art.

I was pretty confident I'd be okay for RD, but I love NYU so much that I wasn't willing to risk it. Also, my life is really here in NYC, and I did NOT want to leave. Have you heard yet?

Ok, something is clearly not right here.

I just looked through the mail I got today and I have something from the New York Philharmonic (in Manhattan) that was postmarked Dec. 9th, i.e. yesterday.

But no purple.

MY PURPLE ENVELOPE HAS ARRIVED!!!!!

I had to call my dad before I shared with all of you but WOOHOO. I can finally stop stalking my mailman (at least for this week!).

Ya it was a regular, business-sized envelope. But the purple was postmarked the 8th, even for the folks in the Midwest who got theirs. So even if it takes an extra day, it still should have gotten here today.
