Now I really want to go over and creep on the admissions office. But I don't think they'd appreciate that... :)
I just imagined you strolling into the admissions office, casually poking around and whistling while sekritly looking for any purple envelopes being stuffed.
Doesn't sound like a bad plan at all! :D
Especially since I'm good at looking innocent/inconspicuous. But they still miiiight notice me. Maaaybe.

Also, <3 to all the other NYCers! Woo :)
+1. I had no idea there were so many! (Though statistically, I s'pose it makes sense.) Working in Midtown here.

Are any of the NYC-crew ED? If so, acceptance=classmates. Makes celebration even moreso a priority....

(I am gonna feel like an ass when the reject me)

Now just praying that they like me and gloss over the retaker status

I'm another NYC'er who ED'd to NYU... though I'm almost sure I'll be drowning my sorrows instead of celebrating.

But based on past threads, NYU seems to overlook it if your latest score is significantly higher. I really hope they do haha
Yeah, I'm almost exactly at NYU and Columbia's medians with my new score (and within .02 with my GPA), and way way way below 25th at both with either my old score or the average. Crossing my fingers that they do care about their "rankings" enough to take the newer score into much greater account.
Yeah my new score is above NYU's median but my average is at their 25% and my GPA is between their 25% and median. Fingers crossed!
Don't know if this has been mentioned before, but at NYU's information session, they said that they will take the higher score if it is 6 or more points higher than the first score. They could have just been saying that, but from LSN and other anecdotal evidence it seems to be true.

Yay! Finally under review as of today. I'd been processing since the 9th. Others get a status change today?

Also moved to under review today--I had been at "Application Processing" since I submitted 11/17.

I'm not sure NYU updates like GULC, but I don't really know. I'm still waiting to go complete, so I'm behind you on this.

Maybe you could check then?

& last year's threads won't have anything like that because they didn't have status checkers. So everything we know from status checkers=stuff people last year didn't know about. WOO GUINEA PIGS <3
