I'm obsessed and crazy...but I must ask: "has any dls 1/21 ASW student received his purple envelope or pizza box yet?" I know someone earlier posted that he got his in the mountain west or something but I'm eager to know about others. I'm in Florida and have yet to get mine :(

Good luck everyone still waiting!

Ship got his on Thursday and he's pretty close to NY. I don't have one in St. Louis yet. Don't worry, we are all definitely accepted. Mail just sucks...

I finally got mine yesterday. It had two post mark dates on it: 1/22 and 1/24

to which e-mail do we send the LOCI? this one listed on their admissions website: law.moreinfo@nyu.edu? the "moreinfo" in the address is making me a little worried that it might not be the right one...

FINALLY got mine today. In the time between my status checker going to "DLS 1/21" and actually getting the freakin DL, I was admitted to 3 other schools, got a $75K scholarship, and got my JR1 email. If NYU was hoping I'd be all brimming with excitement and anticipation and totally pumped to finally open their letter and find out my decision, they should have either sent it priority mail, or not made it so easy to figure out how to get into the ASW and figure out my decision prematurely.

EDIT: my nearest major metro area is Chicago. I was kinda O_o when someone farther west than me got his/hers sooner.

Omfg, where are you located? Siberia? Lol. I can't believe how long that took for you :(

Nyu is soooooooooo slow! Ironic since it's in the fast-paced city.

Thanks to all who replied about the purple envelope so far! :)

Does the pizza box come after the purple envelope or in place of it? Do we get both?

Is there anything important in the pizza box? They're never going to manage to deliver that here.

I have no idea. Someone should tell us, because I want to know. I feel like it'll take forever to get here (if we're supposed to get both the box and the letter, that is). I didn't get my letter until Friday, and I live in Michigan. New York is just not actually that far. Also, my mailman probably hates me now.

The pizza box includes a large viewbook and a faculty profile book

Oooh. I kind of really enjoy faculty books. I've been reading my one from GULC. It's a lot more interesting than working on my thesis.

As long as there's nothing actionable in it, I'm all good - between the mail delivery to my building and the weekly snowstorms in New York, I'm never going to hear from these people via snail mail.

I'm out of town and hope my purple envelope is nestled in my postbox now...

I'm a fool, but what is a JR1?

Nevermind, here is the answer: http://www.top-law-schools.com/archives ... =2&t=95790

Does jr1 only refer to harvard?

Yeah. It does. JR are the initials of the dean. Damn I want a JR1. :(

Anyone have any idea when they started sending merit/aid packages last year?

And btw. Does anyone know if it be a good idea to write a LOCI at this point?

When are your dates? Is this your first acceptance notification?
