Dunno about TX, but I'll report back this afternoon from the Sunshine State.
The plan is this:
Stalk mailroom. If I find anything purple, I will do a happy dance. Immediately after, I will post on TLS. Then, I'll call my family after you all have been notified. (Sad? They don't care as much as we do anyways. Not. Even. Close.)

I believe that's correct, yes.

I'm also ED, and it's the part I hate most about EDing (and why I almost didn't...). It's not like I don't want to go to NYU, I do. But I just wanted to SEE where else I might get accepted, just to see. But you're not even allowed that small pleasure.

Of course, that's assuming I actually get accepted to NYU. Don't want to put the cart before the horse and all that.

Yes. You need to withdraw immediately from other schools. NYU will send out a notification of your ED contract and acceptance to the other schools to which you've applied, and you want to make sure it's done by then. Just send a quick email to the other schools and you're set!

Thanks, guys! Gendefect, I agree -- just for the sake of satisfying my curiosity, I wanted to know if I'd get into CLS, since I think I had a shot RD. I remember us having the same dilemma about applying ED, but personally I'm really glad I ended up doing it (provided I get in, of course...)
