Re: NYU 2011
absolutazn87, for what it's worth, I realize I made an error and went under review 10/29, not 11/15 as I originally reported. Don't know if it matters.

absoluteazn, can you make the spreadsheet a Google Doc so it appears in viewers' Google Docs interface? You can still have it set to viewable only (not editable). Dulcatis' decision dates spreadsheets are examples of what I mean.
In any case, thanks for providing us the service!

Wow
I was UR way before most of you... I thought my stats were good enough :/ I'm kinda bummed. Makes my cycle look kinda freakish.
I did notice there aren't a lot of really high LSATs in their admit pool right now though
Maybe they're taking the high GPAs first?
Or maybe this year they high a really high GPA floor...

Yepp. It was in a Google doc, I just had it published to a page view. But here's the Google Doc link.sgtgrumbles wrote:absoluteazn, can you make the spreadsheet a Google Doc so it appears in viewers' Google Docs interface? Dulcatis, I'm eagerly awaiting the results of your 3PM mail check. Are you in NYC?

More evidence for the 'high GPA --> decisions today' theory?cardinals1989 wrote:Haven't really joined in this thread yet, but..

If people start getting WL/Reject letters, I'll take them out of the spreadsheet. But so far, I haven't really seen stats that are way out of line to be a likely reject.mst wrote:Azn, are you just assuming all the people who got letters today are acceptances? Riskyyyyy

I'm not high-GPA either, a definite splitter at 174/3.4.

Yeah, as someone waiting to get my hands on a 12/3 decision sent, I'm nervous as my GPA is a bit low for NYU.mst wrote:Azn, are you just assuming all the people who got letters today are acceptances? Riskyyyyy

Re: NYU 2011
Maybe from a "don't jinx it" standpoint it's a little risky, but looking at the numbers, it seems highly unlikely that they'd be tossing in a few rejections with what has to be a majority of acceptances. I guess it COULD be that some of these are WL, but it doesn't seem likely. Those with relatively low GPAs have great LSATs and those with borderline LSATs have very high GPAs. If there were rejections or even waitlists in this group, I think there would be at least a few clear ones, and there aren't. Just my 2 cents.mst wrote:Azn, are you just assuming all the people who got letters today are acceptances? Riskyyyyy

Meh, my boyfriend decided it'd have to wait until 5 so he could "go to class." BUT AT FIVE I WILL UPDATE YOU ALL. Via iPod in class.jrh1987 wrote:Dulcatis, I'm eagerly awaiting the results of your 3PM mail check. Are you in NYC?

Same boat. This could be a WL basically telling me to apply to other schools too.jrh1987 wrote:Yeah, as someone waiting to get my hands on a 12/3 decision sent, I'm nervous as my GPA is a bit low for NYU.mst wrote:Azn, are you just assuming all the people who got letters today are acceptances? Re: NYU 2011
I think it may be possible for them to throw WL/Deny for ED people, but I can't imagine any RD decision sent not being IN.
That just doesn't make any sense.
And FWIW, the ED decision sent ones are probably all IN, as well.. I was just saying.
