Hey, new to the site so pls excuse my ignorance. I'm not surprised to have not heard an answer yet as I applied 2 days before the deadline, UR 2/15. Just wondering whether anyone knows whether there is a general date after which I should no longer expect to receive an acceptance because they have moved on WL and dings?

I applied two hours before midnight on February first and was accepted a couple of weeks ago. There doesn't seem to be too much rhyme or reason to when you hear from them.

I saw this graph and I got nervous because it seems to indicate that there is a slim chance of getting in this late... Then I realized that when I compared the 09-10 to the 08-09, there were many significant differences. One school accepted much later in 08-09 than in 09-10. Another had a late March surge to rival the December surge of acceptances. If anything, it's likely that last year was the anomalous one, since there was such a glut of applicants. This year, they were prepared for a glut, and then there wasn't one, so one (me, in particular) can hope that there are still numerous spots to be filled.

Agreed, I think you would probably see a lot more people reporting DLS if the waitlist tsunami had hit.

People who apply and are accepted late in a cycle are less likely to self report numbers on a site like LSN. I wouldn't put too much stock in it.

Your words comfort me, but I'm curious how you know this. Is the theory that those who are more proactive both apply earlier and are more involved in sites like LSN?

+1. And I mean that as in a literal plus one, as I am someone who applied late and does not report on LSN.

Pretty much. I applied on 02/01 (was accepted yesterday fwiw) and you won't see my info on LSN.

Hey guys, haven't posted in the NYU thread till now - just to confirm what I basically already know, most acceptances come within 1.5 months right? I've been sitting at UR 1/31 after an early January submission date, and at this point I am already expecting a WL/rejection.
