I think that's key to figuring out if this a glitch or not (even though it would suck to be the person who can't get in).
I don't think that would matter. False negatives don't mean there are false positives. It does take a few days for the status to change to decision from when it is mailed though. Either way, YOU are in to Michigan. Congrats!!!

I sure hope so! Though a false positive would be heartbreaking (even if the ED to Michigan was originally just an impulsive move).

Mine says spring and summer and I have the packet. I doubt they bother updating that for people who aren't in so Congrats to you as well!

So cold facts: what are Michigan winters really like?

(And I STILL don't want to get my hopes up too much)

Which, in turn, I figure is about as cold as DC (read: cold enough for me to not want to leave my room. But oh well).

I'm definitely having a hard enough time coping with DC now too. As soon as I get that packet I'm striking everything off my christmas list except an ankle length down jacket.

the ankle length down jacket is KEY. i live in chicago now so the wind makes it essential, but whenever i go home to mich i feel like it's practically tropical inside my coat.

So I'd like to start withdrawing my other apps; but, I want to wait until I actually have the packet in hand. Is this ok or do I need to start withdrawing now?

Wait. I still think it could very well be a glitch in the system though you (we?) are probably in.

I'm an UG ED here that just got accepted a couple days ago. Winters are bad but they're not debilitating. The cold kind of brings everyone together. Misery loves company.

Still at complete and I can't log in to the admitted students page. I think it's clear I've got a deferral headed my way considering I submitted on 9/5.

Just got my packet in the mail!! It's official!
Bucki and apple, you should be getting your stuff in the mail pretty soon, since we were all able to access the asw on the same day!

Dean Z left a handwritten note on it, "Your personal statement was very engaging"
I'm so excited, good luck to everyone who hasn't heard from Mich yet and feel free to PM me for details from my app

With a 3.9 and 165 I flung a Hail Mary into the ED hat and received the acceptance call. Question now is, should I retake my LSAT that I have scheduled for this Saturday? Is there a $$ upside if I score 170 or better? I ask because I read where the downside of ED is that one gives up their chance for extra $$. True? No true? What would U do?

Might as well; you don't have anything to lose. If you increase your score, you could potentially boost your scholarship potential (even with ED). If you drop or stay the same, well, you're still going to Michigan.

Sigh. We have the exact same dates and I'm thinking the same thing. If they were going to let me in, they probably would have done it by now :(

I kinda doubt they would give you a scholly for this but take it anyway since you can't get your money back. Make sure you rock it to raise our medians

I am looking out the window wondering, "where is the mailman?"

As a PS: Although I placed myself in the position of wondering, “what if,” I nevertheless opted out of today’s LSAT. I would have loved to put a few more points on the board, but a friend who loves football analogies, said there is nothing wrong with getting into the victory formation and taking a knee. See you this summer!

Any movement today guys? Is it safe to say those of us who haven't heard are probably going to the regular decision pool? I kind of want to print off my UVA ED contract to reverse jinx it or something.

I don't know if it'll DEFINITELY happen, but I've completely resigned myself to a deferral. I submitted way before most of the people who have heard back already...I wish they'd deferred me back when they first knew they were going to do it though instead of waiting until the very end. I might have gotten into UVA if I'd been able to switch to ED there (I'm pretty bitter about this lol)

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
