How long did it take for you to go from completion pending to complete?

I'd like to know this as well...I submitted mine over a week ago. I guess the average waiting time is around 2 weeks, that's what the website says they usually need to compile everything together.

For your information:

Received/Completion Pending: 10/25
Complete: 11/10

If i'm reading the decision date graph correctly, it seems that we'll have to wait until the first week of Jan or so for RD decisions to come out.

Sighh..

I'm on my ipod right now so I can't link it, but I made some spreadsheets in the Admissions Forum (something like "Applied in October? When you'll hear back"). Most of us probably won't hear back til late January at the earliest.

I applied early. It's only my dream. I'm praying and fasting! Fasting and praying.

I'm sure it doesn't mean anything.
We can't expect the school to be cutthroat precise given the number of applications.

Don't sweat it :D

Some may have trickled out earlier, but I believe that the first big wave last year was around Jan 22-23. I think that something tricky is going on with the scales in those graphs, which seem to indicate that a large wave of ED decisions come out in mid-November. Maybe everything is shifted up 2-3 weeks?

My ED application is complete and under review by the admissions committee, and they'll only let me know about acceptance via mail. So the other ED applicants are in the same boat then, right--waiting anxiously by the mailbox to get an acceptance letter?

Anyone already received one?

Last year they starting coming out in December. I think I saw Dec. 1st dates and then another batch every few days afterwards. So wait another week and a half before you get too anxious :)

I got accepted via ED at 2:30 in the afternoon on December 1st last year. as far as I know I was the first one to post on TLS, a few others got their emails within the same hour or two.

They emailed me a scanned copy of my acceptance letter, and I got the paper copy in the mail two days later. Also, since you prob all have apps out to NYU also, i received their RD acceptance package in the mail on December 2.

Has anyone who applied RD become "complete" yet?

i sent in my columbia app the first day apps opened (i think it was 9/7 or something). my numbers weren't "high," but i was a good candidate for early acceptance b/c i was a high lsat (above CLS's 75th percentile) and low gpa (below CLS's 25 percentile), and schools tend to take splitters like me early on and mull over reverse splitters (high gpa/low lsat) for longer.

i had decent softs and a couple years WE, nothing outstanding though.

I just found out that I received a hidden fee waiver, so I submitted. 3.0/175.

Good luck to everyone.

I think last year the first RD decision did not come out until mid/late Jan.

The Columbia spreadsheet (though it doesn't have September information):

Kili wrote:Are there any stats available for ED applicants? I know that on last year's thread they noted a trend where those who were accepted had an index of at least 4.3 (at least initial accepts, didn't read rest of thread).

I hope that's the case :D

Edit: I mean I hope it's not higher.

This might be a lame question but how do you know your index #? I've heard of them before but don't really understand how they're used and whatnot

Edit: Just kidding, think I found it, but more info is still welcome!

From the law school report sent to LSAC. Go to completed applications on the LSAC site and there should be a link to click on. No one really knows how index #s are used on a school by school basis but they are simply a number representing a numerical value for your lsat and gpa score. This score, however, doesnt take into account gpa/lsat floors.
