Yay! Not only will I be on vacation until early January, it's nice to know that finally going complete today isn't soooo late. Once all of the ED decisions are in people on this thread can chill for a bit.

I'll take it. Economy's still in the crapper tank, type-A people still apply to top-10 schools, Columbia's still top-5. I'll take it as all the same and enjoy this delicious Rob Roy I just made.

I'm sure it's the same difference. If anything, last year Columbia had admitted more people by now...no?

No idea. With the stats that fewer people took the LSAT, I'd think that's a possibility, but I haven't researched enough to know.

Looks like there was an acceptance today. I think polyester in the "Columbia Law Class of 2014" thread just got the email.

I'm officially beginning to get scared that most of the acceptances are out. Gotta keep our heads up though!!

EDIT: I would also like to say that denials started going out 12/10 last year or the equivalent of Thursday.

I'm not. I think probably 35-50% of them are (for ED). But if you at least have respectable numbers and softs, I wouldn't be too worried.

I sure hope those numbers are right! I thought I had respectable numbers and decent softs but this whole process is surprisingly demoralizing.

Here's why you shouldn't worry: I found out I was admitted in the second "wave," but the date on my acceptance letter was November 30, which was the first wave. I think what happened is that there's only been one round of acceptances so far but since someone has to sit there and attach a pdf to an email and send it to us, all the emails aren't going out at the same time the decisions are issued.

I think the second wave will happen next week, and I'm pretty sure you'll be in it.

EDIT: fixed grammar issues

What is the date on your acceptance letter?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
