Just tried to withdraw from the waitlist also - "We cannot find your application for admission because the information you provided does not match any records in our database."

Wow, they must really like you guys if they won't let you off reserve. I just filled out the withdrawal form and received a "Don't let the door hit ya" type message

I doubt it's ding... but reserve really is a soft ding in columbia's case

too true... i guess i'm trying to figure out if there is a borderline admit/WL contingency they are still holding on to at this point. not likely i guess, but i don't understand why they are waiting so long. also i'm trying to kill time until 5pm.

haha, I'm with you on that. I was thinking of sneaking out work early and get a drink so that I dont have to worry about this.

I would like to think we still have a shot, but there are some really high numbers that got hit with the waitlist recently.

Just got official "Reserve" e-mail after having been deferred from ED. Reserved until May then reviewed again. Is this different than the waitlist e-mails others have been getting?

I don't believe so... at least from everything you just said it sounds like we got the same email and I was a RD applicant held in March.

The reserve list is Columbia's WL. It's unranked.

I'm nearly certain that I am not CLS material. I applied sort of for the hellofit and because my grandfather insisted.

I have been complete for five and a half months and I have no idea what they could possibly be doing with my application. For those of you who actually think you can get in, I feel for you. Not knowing but still being pretty sure of a ding is not as bad as still believing Columbia is a viable option.

of those who posted to the LSN thread for last year ... 1 person did. A few days before classes started. Who was already an NYC resident.

Does that clear up any speculation about the wait - ahem - Reserve list? I hope so.

A few months ago, I'd be upset. After adding some good options I've become pretty set on where I think I'm going. Honestly don't know how I'll react on the offchance I get into CLS, but I know when my inevitable reject/soft reject comes, I'll be happy for closure, very happy with where I'm going, and happier still not to spend the next three years dealing with the bureaucracy that caused this 375 pages of freaking out.

That said, congrats to those who are going.
