So I still haven't received any word from Columbia-- I got an application complete email 11/29, and live in Columbus, OH. Stats are 174/3.97-- Are people thinking waitlist, or hold out hope for some good news soon?

Stay patient. You're numbers are too good, I wouldn't be worried at all.ivantheterbl wrote:So I still haven't received any word from Columbia-- I got an application complete email 11/29, and live in Columbus, OH. You'll love them once you get your acceptance. Plus everyone who goes there ends up hating life anyway.dulcatis wrote:All of this VCE drama is affecting my <3 of CLS

Re: Columbia 2011!
I was speaking with my friend today (a PhD student) and the conversation was just perfect for this thread.
"Oh, so what are you doing next year? Grad school?" "Yeah, I'm going to law school." "Very cool, do you know where you're going yet?" "No, I still need to go visit schools in the spring" "Wait, so did you get in anywhere yet, or are you just planning on going?" "No, I've been accepted to a couple places." "Like what?" "Columbia, Chicago, NYU, Berkeley." "Very nice, you have options about where you want to be in the country." "Yeah, west coast, mid west, east coast. Oh yeah, I also got into Georgetown." "Oh my gosh Georgetown, that would be awesome!"
*sigh*

really?Confused7 wrote:+1 I'm sure there will be waves, but the question is when and how much constitutes a "wave"? Still no vomit in Brooklyn. It's been a pretty boring January...only one acceptance, and at a school I'm hardly interested in.

Welcome to Socialism. My feelings toward our system is rather mixed . All I know is that as of now I think i'd prefer to work in the USA and retire in Canada.CastleRock wrote:Not happening OH WHY DOES OUR MAIL SUCK!7ED wrote:AH... the weekend. Eh, capitalist mail isn't that good either. Exhibit A: NYU letter that took 5 days to reach me when I live 40 minutes away from the school.CastleRock wrote: Not happening OH WHY DOES OUR MAIL SUCK!

30 pages of catching up, and all I've learned is that people with similar stats and similar locations are hearing, but I'm not. Damnit.
For better or for worse, it'd be nice to get an answer and finally be able to get excited about this or some other place.
And preferably, for better.
I'm dreaming of a (0L equivalent of a) white christmas. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4eYSpIz2FjU

With the amount of high numbers still waiting and the fact that so few people have reported receiving named schollys they have to still be deciding scholarship stuff and planning more waves.
