Ahhh in with $30k/year I'm sooooo excited, I almost started crying at my desk- I definitely did not expect to get that kind of $$!!
Thank you, Dean Pless!! Also, thanks again for working to make admissions more transparent! It takes a lot of stress out of all of our lives

Dean Pless,
My file went complete a couple of days after the 10th, do you have any idea when the next cycle will receive notification? I understand that it may be too soon to know. I'm just very excited about Illinois!
Thank you!

My status checker says admit, but I have yet to receive an email. Is this normal?
Nevermind, I'm a dork and I was checking the wrong email account. In with $30,000.

Dean Pless is awesome with the updates. Looks like we'll be in the same batch, cvb, because I went complete 1/11 (ONE DAY! aiya). Here's to January 28th!

We are going to try to stick with the every week cycle. There could be a week within the next month where we don't have any decisions as we focus on some other things, but probably not until February.

Rejected today. Kinda stings...but was also kind of expected although I was hoping to at least squeak onto the WL. Ah well, life moves on.

Waitlisted... I'm grateful though. Thanks Dean Pless for your consideration. I appreciate your willingness to keep us informed on the application process. It keeps us (well at least me) sane during this stressful application process.

Dean Pless, are you going to the off-campus open houses? If you are, I look forward to thank you in person.

I'll see you in two weeks! (And, I suspect, many times before that, as I cannot help myself from checking obsessively because maybe somehow it came in sooner. Haha. But really, who could?)SherlockHolmes wrote:I'm in that batch tooKinderby wrote:Dean Pless is awesome with the updates. Thank you for applying to the University of Illinois College of Law. After a thorough review of your application, we regret to inform you that we will not be able to offer you a seat in the Class of 2014.
Our decision was not easy. We expect over 4,500 applications in this cycle. The vast majority of these applications are from individuals who have the potential to become outstanding law students and attorneys. However, with more than 25 applicants competing for every seat, our selection process is highly competitive.
If Illinois remains your first choice, you may wish to consider applying to transfer at the end of your first year from another ABA approved law school. Transfer applicants will be evaluated primarily on their first-year performance. We typically offer admission to 15 students annually from an applicant pool of approximately 150 candidates.
I sincerely appreciate your interest in Illinois and understand your disappointment. I wish you every success in your future endeavors.
Sincerely,
Paul

I got in last week!
Thanks for the scholarship money!
Should my acceptance letter have come with a USB drive? I hear other people got them.
