It also isn't uncommon for someone to PM posters specific responses, especially ones that could contain personal information (if a poster was waitlisted last year and got in, maybe they don't want everyone to know).

I can see your point, but usually other people who are also waitlisted have done more research into past waitlist patterns and they usually chime in with what they have found or if a current student was pulled from the waitlist they usually say something.

As others have said, it'll take you somewhere from 25-45 minutes, depending on the time of day. I live on that end of town, and it does stink getting to school. There's plenty of housing much closer to school, and if you have that option, I recommend living closer to school. You have enough on your plate as a law student that you don't need a longer commute.

I think it's more just the reality that most people know little about waitlist activity.

It's okay. I didn't think anyone was ignoring me. If I had been accepted I'd be more worried about my financial aid than other students' admissions decisions. Really, who knows anything about waitlists? But thank you for rearching the waitlist patterns anyway.

I think you have a good chance of getting off the waitlist after the May 16th seat deposit deadline. Just mail in letters of continued interest so they know that you REALLY want in.
