lol there is no way yours can be 5000 something. I calculated your index with a 163/3.28 and got ~5.702. And the other poster should recalculate too because someone with a 180 and 4.0 has an index of 6.398 so 48.49 is impossible too.

Example: (163*.029) + (3.28*.282) + .05 = 5.702

the index list is on LSAC, but all you do with you score is compare it to other people. I compared mine to a person who got accepted and a person who got waitlisted. The waitlisted person had almost my exact score and the accepted person was a litle higher that that. It's just helpful to compare yourself to other applicants with different numbers than yours (with one element higher, one lower)

Wear whatever you want, there is no reason to dress up and no one will expect you to.

Wish I could go. Let us know if they say anything we don't already know! and they probably just say wear comfortable clothes because they will be giving tours of the campus and it will be really hot. However, the law school campus isn't very big, so I wouldn't worry too much about it. Hopefully they won't keep you outside too long. If I were going I would probably dress casual. Jeans should be fine.

I'll be there. Hadn't thought about attire really, but I'll more than likely just go with something casual. The law school isn't especially big in size and the whole thing is probably going to be pretty informal anyway. See you guys there.

I need some advice. I know the earlier you apply, the better. I'm taking the LSAT in October for the first time, and I'm afraid I am not going to do as well as I want to. I'm not trying to be pessimistic or anything, but I just haven't been scoring where I should be on my PTs. That being said, in the case that I don't score well on my October LSAT, should I retake in December, or will that be too late? I know they won't look at my application until they get my December score if I indicate that I am retaking in December, so I just wanted to see what you guys thought about this. I've already talked to the UF admissions people and they basically just told me how the process worked but didn't really give me any advice about it. Hopefully I will do awesome on the test the first time and not have to retake it but I would just like to have a plan B in case things don't go the way I want them to. UF is my top choice and I'm not willing to give it up just because of this test.
