Yeah status checker doesn't work for me either. I'm glad it's not just me! ED applicants are told to expect a decision by the first of the year..it should hopefully only be a few more weeks!angiej wrote:The new 2011 admitted students page is up. I'm convinced the next waive of decisions are on their way. For some reason, the status checker isn't working for me this morning.

Got an email today . . . I'm in! I guess I have to wait for the actual acceptance letter to know if I'm being offered any scholarship money. To those of you who were admitted with $ did anything in your status checker elude to the scholarship offer? Anything like seat deposit or letter sent?

Did your status checker change to 'decision letter sent' prior to receiving the e-mail? Seat deposit change?angiej wrote:Got an email today . . . I'm in! I didn't check my status checker until after the email but yes the seat deposit changed and it said decision sent 12/13. Haven't received anything in the mail yet.twryan wrote:Did your status checker change to 'decision letter sent' prior to receiving the e-mail? its definitely great if you want to work in the indianapolis area. i live around there and almost all the lawyers/judges went to IUPUI.
or did you mean the city? it's small but great. not for everyone though.

Both. I've got a solid shot at acceptance, but am curious as to what the job prospects are like. I'll be coming from the south.ebeth wrote:its definitely great if you want to work in the indianapolis area. i live around there and almost all the lawyers/judges went to IUPUI.

Re: IU Indianapolis Applicants' Thread
I am a 2008 graduate from IUPUI and considered a "mature" student at the ripe old age of 29! Due to some poor choices early in my college career, my UGPA is only 2.99. I also have several extra curricular activities from my undergraduate program. I went onto graduate school at Purdue and finished my program with a 3.77 GPA. I am waiting to get my December LSAT scores, but my previous score was a 156 and I feel like this one was comparable or a little better.
IU-Indy is my number one choice. I am also a single mom and my family is here, so I want to stay close. I just looked on LSN and there seemed to be very little rhyme or reason to the the GPA/LSAT scores of accepted students. I was wondering if anyone had insight into the role personal statements and letters of recommendation play in acceptance?
Thanks for your help!
Kim

Re: IU Indianapolis Applicants' Thread
IU Indy is my top choice (I want to live/work in the Indy area). I applied on 12/15, went complete on 12/16, and have been in review since 12/21.
Does anyone know if the admissions office is even working right now or when they will be back?
Some of you received decisions within days of being in review, so needless to say I am very anxious!
My stats are 3.3/158, so I really hope I get in since this is a definite target!

Not sure. But I got a fee waiver from Case Western and IU Indy so I will be sending in applications to both tonight. Hopefully that will be the last of my apps.

In review at Indianapolis. How long has it generally taken for those with decisions since being in review?

Just applied last night. According to LSP I'm considered and 32% of applicants have lower numbers than mine. Did I apply too late?

Re: IU Indianapolis Applicants' Thread
I am getting the impression Indy is a little swamped with apps. My app was complete on 1/6--showing my LORs etc., but my status was still showing incomplete until I called to inquire. The admissions person I spoke with checked my file and changed my status to complete. I was told it should go into review quickly, but that was Tuesday and still nothing...

Been in review since 1/4... shouldn't it be any day now?!

Re: IU Indianapolis Applicants' Thread
I wonder if it's true what someone said about them reviewing apps not in the order received but instead based on applicants LSAT/GPA combinations... I am right at or just above both medians so I hope I hear soon!

Re: IU Indianapolis Applicants' Thread
I am pretty convinced that Indy does not review in order received. I submitted my app September 7th and didn't get in until December. Very suspensful for me since Indy is my top-choice. Anyway, I will likely be in Indy in August! Hope to see you there! (Or at an ASD - if they ever tell us when it is!)
