I just sent in my app here. A full ride would be VERY sweet. I hope I did not miss the boat.

I am OOS 167/3.4

Got the acceptance and $120k scholarship as well today. Came with a hand-written note, which was quite a nice touch. Very excited and will have to seriously consider this.

What is the consensus in regard to the scholarship stipulation? Does the "satisfactory progress" just mean good academic standing/passing grades?

Does IUB have a status checker? Applied 1.5 weeks ago... got a complete email, but never received a status checker. Just wondering if I should expect one.

How is everyone feeling about these 120K offers? Anyone putting IU-B at the top with these big boy scholarships?

Not really... not much interest in practicing in the Indiana region. It was pretty cool to get as my first decision (on Christmas Eve), though! :)

Yes! I don't want to practice in Indiana, but I have contacts in Chicago and New York who are familiar with IU's [good] reputation. Thing is, my husband's job (for the next 4 1/2 years) is in Columbus, so if OSU can match/beat IU's offer, I'll be staying in town.
Keeping Illinois and Fordham in the mix right as well, just in case. ;)

SlimCharles - one TLSer asked and I forget the wording, but essentially it's not flunking out (the required GPA for graduation is a 2.3).

I want to practice in Cali, so IU is not the best fit for me, but I LOVE the looks of their program. If I don't get in anywhere better than my current list, I might consider it to save some major money and avoid the loan train.

Just received two parcels. One I could see was from Bama, where I got accepted the other day. The other, I prayed... please be from Bloomington - it was!

Applied 12/28, received confirmation of being complete on 1/24, accepted on 1/28... with 120k/3yrs for OOS

167/2.95. Thanks for the splitter love, IUB!

Did anyone do an interview with Indiana? I have one tomorrow with alum in Washington, D.C. I'm wondering how much this impacts their decision?

I don't want to deter you from choosing IU, but just keep in mind they do not have much of a reputation in California. Obviously IU could save you a ton of debt, but if you don't have really strong contacts, it could make it tough to go back.

I applied with pretty much the same exact #s a few weeks before you and havent heard anything. Not sure if I actually do want to hear anything though because a 120k from IU would make my decision very very difficult..... :|
