Tomorrow everything is closed here. My office, most people will work from home. Doctor's office is close too.

Did anyone else get an email from SMU detailing the private schollies? I tried to click on the Hughes link, and it was broken. Looks like they're up and raring to go, which I hope is a good sign.

I hope they start making some more decisions soon especially for those of us who were held. This hold is making my cycle and decision so difficult because I dont know if I should try to hold out for smu or start to visit my out of state schools. Sigh

Recevied scholarship e-mail. Does anyone know what them mean by LOR by professors? Do we have to go back again and ask our professors to resend?

I emailed about this and they said the LOR's from your app will be sufficient. They don't have to be resent.

Anybody get a packet yet? Why doesn't somebody who lives around Highland Park drive over there, pick up their packet, take pictures of it, and then post them?

If I already lived in highland park, I wouldn't feel the need to go back to school.

SMU isn't my first choice but I'll probably give these a shot. It seems they don't require anything new that wasn't in our apps, but is anyone personalizing their essay for SMU? If everyone here can agree not to, that'll save me more writing :)

Don't worry about personalizing your personal statement, but DEFINITELY be sure to include a Why SMU essay. It doesn't require more than a couple of paragraphs about your ties to Dallas/Texas, interest in establishing contacts in the Dallas legal community, interest in _________ law, etc.

How was it mailed? USPS? FedEx? UPS? Was it overnight, next day, ground, etc?

Got my admit packet- mailed 2-9-10. Live in North Texas, north of Dallas... But NO email about scholarships...anything important in that email?

+1. I thought someone said that the admissions office told them that scholarships would be included in the packet going out...?

Anybody have an idea when those of us who were "held for further review" will receive a decision?
