I was just calling to see when they anticipated making more offers and confirm my contact info because I'm traveling soon and I was put through to someone in admissions to ask. After they told me, they asked if I had anything else I wanted them to relay to adcomm on my behalf (which I didn't) but I reiterated my interest. I should also be clear that it could be a coincidence and they had already planned on extending me an offer the next day before I called. I just empathize with those still on WLs and want to help them get through purgatory by offering up my personal experience in the hopes that they'll find it beneficial.rsd765 wrote:Just curious, how did you frame the purpose of your call?jgator1 wrote:In off WL with 20k/yr. I called yesterday and spoke with someone in admissions and today I got an acceptance email. I know people dread calling schools because they're afraid they might annoy adcomms but I'm very happy with my situation's outcome.

Re: Notre Dame 2014 applicants
Hey guys,
I'll be applying in the next application cycle, and am wondering at what point those of you applied who are still on the wait-list or recently received Notre Dame's decision.
I plan to apply at the earliest point possible without ED, but seeing some of the WL numbers come through, I'm a little bit surprised by some of them. Please let me know!

I am also on the WL, to those of you getting off it: how were you notified of your acceptance; mail, email, phone, or all 3?

E-mail that mentioned mail, which came 3-4 days later. No phone call, though I think some others mentioned that they got a phone call asking if they have questions.IamAskier wrote:I am also on the WL, to those of you getting off it: how were you notified of your acceptance; mail, email, phone, or all 3?

Applied the first week of November, waitlisted in late January, and accepted last week.snestor20 wrote:Hey guys,

Anybody have any clue when they are going to accept more people off the WL?

Re: Notre Dame 2014 applicants
From what I was told from my last conversation with the office was they were going have an initial wave of offers in early May, and then sit on those until the second deposit deadline. So my guess is for those on the WL who are still hoping, have to sit tight until mid June.bigben5289 wrote:Anybody have any clue when they are going to accept more people off the WL?

I spoke to addmissions today and they said they anticipate making more decisions after the second deposit deadline and might make more leading up to that but are not certain.

Sure: 167 on the LSAT. Applied in November with a 3.75, sent a revised transcript in January with a 3.78. PM me if you have any more specific questions.snestor20 wrote:Would you mind sharing your numbers? Aww come on, you're misusing the concept of Purgatory in the Notre Dame thread?jgator1 wrote:I was just calling to see when they anticipated making more offers and confirm my contact info because I'm traveling soon and I was put through to someone in admissions to ask. But seriously, that's awesome. I'm sure they looked kindly on your real interest in the school. Best of luck to everyone else still on the WL.

I am so desperate to get in off the WL! Visited in early May and fell in love with the campus.
