I haven't heard anything yet, its my 12th week officially, really anxious to know something at this point. Over the past few days looks like barrage of waitlists went out though.SrLaw wrote:Has anyone heard anything new over the past few days? I keep checking my snail mail and this week is my 8th week.

Entering week 12, and getting super anxious. I'd really just like to know something at this point - pref. something good, but I'm getting less and less picky.

Notre Dame is giving out some pretty generous $300 travel stipends to anyone going to the upcoming ASDs...just got mine approved for the April 8 one.

This is so bizarre, but I was accepted after just over two weeks. I'd been following this thread, and I expected to be waiting FOREVER. There doesn't seem to be much rhyme or reason to it...

Pretty shitty scholarship, IMO. (Your #'s are worth more than only 15K)purplebulldogs wrote:in with $15k via acceptance package yesterday. 168, 3.73, applied 12/15, went complete the next day.

I don't think they really even give out large scholarships. I think the biggest they give out is 25k a year.SrLaw wrote:Pretty shitty scholarship, IMO. That is what I have head. However, with IU-B giving out some large deals this year ND needs to reach into their large endowment and make some decent offers.

Re: Notre Dame 2014 applicants
thanks. this is the one school i really wish i could visit before having to make a decision (can't visit any schools until after april 18th), mostly because i'm really curious about how religious views are incorporated into the curriculum. i suppose i could check out a current student forum...CrimLaw300 wrote:Congrats man, I'm jealous.purplebulldogs wrote:in with $15k via acceptance package yesterday. 168, 3.73, applied 12/15, went complete the next day.
edit: i know that religious views aren't exactly incorporated into the curriculum, i'm just curious as to how it plays out in class discussions.

Re: Notre Dame 2014 applicants
When I visited, they made it pretty clear that if you weren't comfortable with crucifixes in the classrooms, NDLS probably wouldn't be a good fit. Otherwise, in the International Law class I sat in on, there was pretty much no discussion of religion. If it doesn't fit the subject matter - and for a lot of classes, it likely won't - then catholicism doesn't dominate. However, from a scan of the course catalogue, there are quite a few very Catholic course offerings, but those are either canon law, Catholic legal thought or social justice type courses, for the most part.purplebulldogs wrote:thanks. this is the one school i really wish i could visit before having to make a decision (can't visit any schools until after april 18th), mostly because i'm really curious about how religious views are incorporated into the curriculum. i suppose i could check out a current student forum...CrimLaw300 wrote:Congrats man, I'm jealous.purplebulldogs wrote:in with $15k via acceptance package yesterday. 168, 3.73, applied 12/15, went complete the next day.

FWIW, I'm Jewish, but I've also attended a "non-sectarian" Christian prep school for middle and high school.

From the people (including me) still waiting, what do you think the next few weeks will hold? It seems that a few people everyday are reporting WL etc.
