what surprises me is how many of the low LSAT scorers (like 140 and below) are super christian.

Correlation?? Meybe Christians r dumber!

finalaspects wrote:true. high GPA might mean easy majors or just works hard instead of working smart. so i guess high LSAT folks are the ones to fear since they are smart and if they just try, they'll be that much better.

what LSAT score would scare you though? you have 168 so anyone with the same score or higher even with a 2.x gpa?

at 170 I start sabotaging their notes.

naw i'm pretty sure that once you do badly on the LSAT you become a christian so that your faith can help you get through law school bc faith is all you need to do anything, apparently

I supposed I'd be one of those WTFs on LSN. I don't fault people with similar or worse numbers for applying to super reaches, especially if they have unique soft factors.

Yeah, if I saw a 3.1/148 was in at my school, my first thought would probably be, "well, that's one more shot at making law review."

would you be scared of splitters or reverse splitters? 2.5/175 or a 4.0/159?

I'd be more concerned about splitters, because the LSAT is a standardized test that doesn't vary wildly in difficulty and content from year to year. While I tend to assume that a 4.0 means a strong work ethic, I have no information about what school they went to, what they majored in, or what sort of product they turned out. I don't know whether they majored in engineering at Caltech or philosophy at Texas Tech.

Religiosity and low test scores probably both correlate with poverty.

Ability to take a joke mostly likely. It is an attractive feature.
