Visit the school too and meet with the Dean, professors, current students and write about it in a LOCI. That will show extra dedication and interest as well as put a face to your file.

Ha ha. For sure, that too.

And savestheday is right on point. Man, I hate being poor, in school, and in Davis. (OK, I like being in Davis, but not in this context).
I have visited King Hall a number of times, and sat in on symposia, etc.
But what I'd do to get to DC, or Charlottesville, or LA, to put a face to the name. That can make a big difference, they say.

Good question. LSN.com says no on both counts, but they, like here, are but a sample of the law school applicant population.

Previous patterns of WL movement indicate that we'll see waves of decisions anytime after late May...

I've read from previous years' threads that some people are admitted as early as May 1 (today ) and calls also take place on weekends

Any word on the size of the waitlist this year?

I sent it to general, and if you see on the WL form, it says to send it to general.

someone in the "UCLA?" thread posted a WL --> accept this morning.

I contacted the admissions office today and was informed that they have begun admitting people on the waitlist. The person on the phone gave me the impression that they have admitted numerous people from the waitlist but that this would be constant throughout the summer.

Doesn't sound like the waitlist "wave" theory holds much water.

I wonder if there has been any rejections from the waitlist...did they say anything about that, by any chance?

You know I did not ask but it might be worth a phone call.

I don't know whether it helps, but I got the call today and got in off the waitlist.

My stats aren't particularly remarkable - pretty much exactly at the medians. I felt the thing that helped me most was my rapport with one of the admissions staff that I met on a tour. I emailed her about once every three weeks to update her on what was happening with me once I got onto the waitlist. Hope that helps.

Today is the second deposit deadline. Hopefully there will be some movement to follow.
