FWIW (since I think someone asked) I got second reserve and I didn't send them a damn thing. I sort of wanted to, but the things they asked for were so specific, and I didn't feel like I had all that much to say. 3.42/170. I guess maybe I'll send something now? But if there really isn't any movement until early August, that's after my lease starts in LA, so hard to say what I'll do.

I also sent them nothing. Since it worked the first time, I'm tempted to stay with that approach, but probably won't.

Second reserve letter received abroad! I didn't send them anything last go around hoping to make it through and I saved my update for this go around figuring less competition and less meaningful updates from people = more impact? I hope? Anyway, good luck to everyone! Hopefully a bunch of us can get it!
The early August movement is sad though since I will be out thousands of bucks in first months rent and security deposits, law school deposits etc in Ann Arbor. Mo~.

Received a second reserve letter in DC today. Letter was dated 6/8.
I am absolutely dumbfounded. My numbers are horrendously low for CLS.
Are they really considering me?

+1 Second reserve received in MA. My numbers are also very low for CLS. It doesn't seem like anyone is getting in from this round, so maybe the good news will come for us at the end of June...???

I guess I'm cool waiting until mid-August. I'm Fordham-bound, so they're just a few extra stops on the subway in the event an absolute miracle happens. It'll be interesting quitting my job on 1-2 days notice, though.

for those who received 2nd reserve, when do you have to respond to the form by? I'm currently out of the country and don't know if I've received the 2nd reserve or not, and won't be able to respond until late June...thanks!

No response yet, here in SoCal.
I have the sinking suspicion that an admit would get a call or an e-mail, so it's unsurprising none of us are getting in off this wave of letters.
I am somewhat curious as to why some people have gotten their letters and the rest of us haven't. Wondering if it is a good sign, bad sign, or totally meaningless.
Ahh, sweet panciky speculation...

The response deadline in my letter is June 22nd. If you can get to a computer, I would suggest that you just go to
http://www.law.columbia.edu/secondreserve and respond anyways. Can't hurt, either way

Where do you send the LOCI? I'm assuming email and a hard copy via postal mail is best.

I sent mine to
admissions@law.columbia.edu along with a request to add it to my file. They confirmed receipt and acknowledged the addition.

hey everyone! new to this thread but wishing everyone the best! I just got back from vacation last night and received my "second reserve" letter (dated Jun 4th (I'm in NJ)). I'm a little confused as to what I should do though: I graduated on June 1st and wasn't informed that I had received things like honors and the like until graduation (surprise, surprise) so I had to wait until June 2nd to send my new LOCI, updated transcript, and updated resume. I'm not sure if I should think they hadn't had a chance to look at this new info before they sent the 2nd reserve or if this new info caused me to GET on the 2nd reserve (my LOCI was full of a LOT of new academic achievements and I also sent an additional rec.). So I guess my question is, should I be concerned that I should be sending MORE info (which, I don't really have but I guess I could throw together something that expresses my pleading and desperation lol) or if the one I sent a few days ago would suffice for expressing my "continued interest"? (Also WL-ed at NYU and sent them the same info).
Thanks and good luck to you all again!

Got my 2nd Reserve letter today, dated 4 June...3.8/168, never sent a LOCI, just a LOR from my boss. Are there any decent guesses as to how many people they're keeping on this not-a-WL?

still haven't received anything....
I'm worried that since I moved, the USPS forwarding service is delaying things...
I notified Columbia of my change in address, but only at the beginning
of last week
when was the due date for notifying Columbia of your continued interest
on your letters?

I would call admissions and let them know that you haven't received anything. Maybe they can send you a pdf to be on the safe side.
