Just got ANOTHER email from Candy (I hadn't heard from her in a while), letting me know she could STILL offer me my scholarship money.

I felt bad, so I replied with a nice email (in line with a withdrawal, although I in no way ever applied or expressed interest in applying this instutition).

Haha I got the same. She made a special exception to extend the deadline for me!! I feel so special.

Haha I just opened this email 30 seconds ago and then noticed this on the main page. Candy sure is aggressive.

I might start a poll for this, but what do you guys think: Cornell with no money, WUSTL w/75k scholly, UIUC with full ride, Vandy w/60k, or Phoenix with 15k? Tough choice to make...

It's hard to turn away Phoenix, especially if you want biglaw.

Just got the email, and was confused because I thought it was from another school, sorry Candy, Phoenix just isn't the place for me

Does she offer 15k to everyone, or am I being lowballed?

Phoenix has a lot of national reputation, especially with all the emails Candy has been sending. I hope she works in career services too... she would probably pester some big law partners with a flood emails insisting that they take me!

Lol. She really is aggressive. She made a special arrangement with the Dean just to be able to provide me with a scholarship so I have to act fast! I feel so special.

Was the email titled "scholarship increase" for anyone else? I'm up to $15k now! Considering I've emailed two schools about scholarships, I was not initially amused by this.

I wonder if I can use this scholarship offer as leverage with BU....

Mine was $20K. Feelin' elite.

I know. I'm a scholarship alternate for GULC so I nearly had a heart attack when I saw the title "Scholarship Offer!" I'm pretty sure my heart stopped for a second there.

By the way, my scholarship was $15K in December. Uh oh! She must have lowballed you in December, and now is trying to make it seem like you're really special since your offer is increased. Sneaky, sneaky Candy.

I was gonna reply "No thanks, good luck with Phoenix Law School!" but I figured that was too mean since I'd obviously have to be being sarcastic. So I just said "No thanks, good luck!" and hopefully they stop emailing me now >(.

Hmm it does appear I was lowballed. Should I try to negotiate and get $20K? Do you think they still have money or do I have to wait for all of you to decline first?

edit: last year it was steve jones and FC. I haven't gotten a single email from them this time around.

Yeah, I sent her an email telling her I was going to another school, and I still got the "increase". This spam is getting annoying.
