+1 (acceptance and small scholly), I know there's a lot of debate about whether withdrawing helps, but I'm a firm believer in the fact that it does. Good luck to those of you on the WL!

I am looking in the mailbox every day, waiting on some letter saying anything. I want to go to UGA so bad it hurts, but maybe living in Atlanta and going to State won't be too bad. I just hope that if I hear something back it won't bee so late I can't do anything about it. Oh well, I guess that's the smae boat everyone here is in.

This is all a little bit in the realm of "crazy" but two things that make me feel a little more positive about our chances of getting off the waitlist:

1. As I was browsing LSN (as always it is not representative, but these are actual applicants) there were a lot of folks who have withdrawn from the waitlist already.

2. The first round deposit is only $50 at UGA, while no one wants to lose any money, one could envision it being easier than the few hundred dollars other schools ask for.

So I am choosing to be sunny and optimistic today

Denied yesterday. Why waitlist people and then reject them before 2nd deposit is due?

Got a call from a 706 number today.. missed it. Tried to call back but it just kept ringing. I looked on the admission's site for a number the number that I was called from.. nothing availed. Perhaps it was just a random call from who knows.. I WANT UGA SO BAD THAT IT HURTS!!!

This e-mail is to update you on the status of the waitlist. April 15th was the first deposit deadline for applicants who were offered admission to the School of Law. We received more deposits than we anticipated. As a result, several of the people on the waitlist were denied admission yesterday.

You and a select group of other applicants remain on the waitlist. So far, no one has been admitted from the waitlist, and it is likely to be late May or June before anyone from the waitlist is admitted.

Please reply to this e-mail and let us know if you do NOT want to remain on the waitlist.

i would suspect that they got more seat deposits than anticipated, it was only $50
