My tea leaves tell me there is a big wave of acceptances coming this week, and your surfboard is about to get a sweeeeeet lift.

Did anyone receive a confirmation email or anything after submitting their LOCI, or do we just send them into the vast silence and resume our waiting?

Some did, some didn't. Using the online LOCI submission page seems to be as valid as sending in an email, since confirmations have been received by applicants who did either method.

Welp, it's 4/4, and per the hold email, we should hear back no later than 4/25. Officially three weeks max until we all have decisions. (Let the countdown start..)

Ya know, I thought this would get less stressful as I went from waiting on 15+ schools to just a few... Let me tell ya, with 2 remaining, it is way more stressful.

I'd say the source of stress, for me at least, comes from the impending deadline. These are huge life decisions, and Columbia is putting us on hold right up until the line. It's just how the game is played I suppose, since they're waiting on responses from applicants, and those applicants are waiting on responses from other schools. It's circular.

I wish there was a mandate for at least some decision before April: Accept/Deny/Waitlist, so that you know where you stand.

I was on the fence about NYU vs. Columbia, but this hold nonsense is definitely skewing me toward NYU. Factor in the fact that NYU is filled with bars and hot undergrads, while Columbia has...overzealous gunners and whatever is in Morningside Heights? If it wasn't for the damn rankings...
