I read on LSAC stats that over 50% of 30-40 YO applicants don't get accepted to any school. I hope I don't end up one of them for applying this late.

I appreciate the thought, but I planned out this suicide by crappy beer thing a long time ago and I've come to terms with it.

For me, the "Western Front" has been the least quiet - 1 WL so far out in Oregon in less than two weeks...it made my head spin to get a decision that quickly!

So let's see...that leaves 13 pending and 3 apps that I'm sitting on until I get paid Friday (still within the deadline). I did see on the status checker that one of my apps FINALLY made it to the committe review stage yesterday, even though I applied just over a month ago. :?

Ok, back to thumb twiddling...

17 applied:

0 acceptance
0 reject
1 hold
1 in mail (assuming WL)
2 in review
13 pending

PHOOOOOOOEY. 161/2.9. URM. Average PS. Assuming there are going to be 10 rejects, 4 WL, and 3 accept. Guess we'll see...

Edit: I applied to schools anywhere between mid-January and last week, so dates for these apps are all over the place.

Eh, I think I'll wait for a bit until it reaches the epic fail stage. Check back in about a month or seven.

Indeed.

Blow all my cash in one weekend on the Richmond stripclub circuit, have them find my bloated corpse atop Sam Houston's statue.

You think my WL is YP? I wrote a why penn essay and I am from here, and 2 of my LOR's are Penn grads... I think short of ED I can't be any clearer of my affection for Penn. Maybe I should send flowers?

I guess not then. You applied late during a cycle where everyone is running back to school. Be patient and don't be afraid to scrap this cycle and apply next year early.
