that sucks. OP, how did you choose the schools and when did you get your apps in? Did you use LSN to make sure that these schools accept people with your numbers?

I chose schools mostly by location, some by rank, and a few by statistical ranges only (realistic shots).

I'll admit I reached heavily on 3-4 of them, moderate reaches on 6-7, light reaches on 3-4, and probably 1-2 realistic options.

So I'm not feeling sorry for myself or anything, I knew this cycle would be a blood bath for me. But I'm holding out hope for that one window to open.

Most apps went out around Christmas. A few went out in mid-Feb. Regretting postponing my apps til after Thanksgiving...

Three applications sent in early January, and three more sent in mid-February.

Six applications still pending.

No acceptances
No rejections
2 waitlists
5 apps still pending

Of my 5 pending, 1 is hopeless (H) and 2 haven't even gone complete yet. I need Columbia or Penn to swoop in and save the day for me. Otherwise....

WL: 1
Rej: 1
Pending: 10

About half my apps are reaches. Four are targets, and two are what I thought were safeties. I apllied everywhere early january and the fact that I'm still pending at my "safeties" scares the bejesus outta me. I am an extreme splitter so maybe that has something to do with it. Keeping fingers crossed

1 Rejection
1 Waitlist
5 Pending

I'm hoping the large number of "Pending" cases is due to the application increase. Does anyone have some insight or strong opinion on this situation?

1 WL
1 RJ
4 Pending

WL'd at the school that, based on my numbers, I had the best chance at outright acceptance to.

2 rejections
1 WL
9 pending

BUT i was rejected from what I thought were my almost sure short scholly's. The rest are reaches of varying degrees. Not exactly expecting any acceptances but at the same time I was hoping to defer, which is why I didn't apply to too many safety's...
