Ya. I paid a visit a couple of weeks ago and the school was deserted. There were a bunch of math/engineering majors studying in the law library though.

The admissions people will be there. The Admissions Office is about 8 to 10 blocks away from the campus itself so be aware of that. The Berkeley store/bookstore is right by Sproul Plaza. You'll find it on the intersection of Bancroft and Telegraph, on the campus side. They sell clothing and other knick-knacks there. I'm not sure if the law school itself has its own store (I know the business school does). Maybe you could ask the admissions staff during your meeting? There is a small bookstore in the lawschool that sells a modest collection of Law School schwag. Its in Simon (closer to International House) on the second floor (i.e. what is the ground floor on that side of the school). From the courtyard walk towards the registrars office and turn right. Go down the hallway you come to and the bookstore will eventually be on your right. During the school year it was open after 10 on weekdays.

The big bookstore will have a much bigger collection of Cal stuff, I don't think I've seen law school specific stuff down there though.

Guys, I got in too but the e-mail didn't mention aid at all and I would be walking away from a generous package at Duke. Do you think aid is available or should we assume we're just lucky to be taken off the list?

Congratulations! I think there's a link for the financial aid email address on your offer letter. It said to email the fin aid office and ask for your tentative offer. You could try that.

I was actually in the 2nd quartile, according to the emails they sent out May 1. So I don't know how I ended up getting an offer ... but I'm not complaining!!
