No one feels sorry for you if you got into Cornell. It's still T14. Don't be silly.

His numbers are probably 80%+ to get into CCN, so Cornell would be a bad cycle for him. I mean, if I had a 4.33/180 and got rejected from HYSCCN but into T10, are you saying I'd have no right to be upset?

I'm pretty sure the title of this thread is the WORST CYCLE OF THE YEAR. I'm not saying you have no right to be upset, but if he/she got into the T14, then that's not the worst cycle of the year. And even though 3.6 is a good gpa, it's not exactly stellar for what those schools are looking for.

It's obvious from OP's post that we are talking about the worst cycle relative to what one's numbers would project. A 3.5, 164 whose best acceptance is St. Johns would qualify even though there is probably a 3.2, 152 out there saying "Hey, I'd love to get in at St. John's".

If we look for the absolute worst cycle, we would just need to find one person that got rejected from Cooley and /thread.

They got to leave some people for the unaccredited schools.

3.75, 171:
Harvard - ding
Stanford - haven't heard back yet, but let's be honest...
Chicago - WL
Berkeley - ding
Penn - WL
Michigan - WL
UVA - WL
Duke - Asked for my crappy fall grades a month ago, so that probably won't be good
Georgetown - In

I'm grateful for GULC, but I was expecting to at least have a choice at the end of my cycle.

Well, that in at GULC puts you one over on me so far. We'll see how I fair with my pending apps.

I think I've discovered the cause of your problems...

I keed, I keed (couldn't help myself). Have you thought about applying ED to UVA?

Haha. whups. Nah, I'm not going to apply ED to UVa. I'm not buying into their scheme to force people to ED to get admitted.

The thread survives... nice. I think the 171 guy at GULC and the 173 guy with Cornell who contributed in the last page are definite contenders. Sorry about all the WL guys. I know exactly how you feel.

And in the future if anyone is confused as to the meaning of a "bad" cycle in the context of this thread, please refer to StringerBell's clarification and St. Johns example.

LOL, Cooley YP'd someone. Is it YP if they reject? Either way, out at Cooley with a 162=awesome.

Ouch. 166/3.9 doesn't look like t14-shutout territory. Sorry about the cycle, bro.

I feel like there must be something in your app that schools aren't crazy about. I'm quite surprised UVAED didn't work out, most other people with your numbers, who have taken advantage of it, were accepted.

Completely depended on the app timing. If you went ED soon after it was reopened with >170 or >3.85, you were golden. Based on TLS chatter and LSN, it seemed like after about three weeks almost all of those acceptances turned into WLs. Not being early (rather than just not late) is a killer. See my yellow dot in the surrounding sea of green on GTown's LSN graph for reference.

I've been watching holybartender's cycle with great interest as well. He just got into Cornell... but I'm not sure if that makes his chances at officially having the worst cycle increase or decrease :| They'd increase if BP had anything to say about it. Sorry encyclopedia I'm still pulling for WashU to drown you in money based on your LSAT

I'm pulling for that, too. 2/3ers have to stick together. I'm very jealous of your Vandy acceptance, by the way.

That we do. I'm still baffled as to why they gave decisions to some 2/3ers and not others... especially when the others in question included both prototypical WUSTL splitters and a couple of people with like 170/3.8s. I said it in another thread and I'll say it again, I'm almost positive I'm only in at Vandy because I'm slaving away in their Engineering School right now. Just hang onto that WL, my spot could be yours in a month or two if they decide WUSTL isn't a semi-peer institution for negotiation purposes. I'd love to stay in Nashville for 3 more years, but I don't know if the combo of sentiment and awesome restaurants is worth that much to me...

The waitlists at BU and BC surprised me; Law School Predictor has those both as Strong Consider.

WLs at 2 strong considers + 2 weak considers =/= worst cycle of the year

I don't get it. This person was accepted by a T25 with a 2.3 GPA. He/She was lucky to not get entirely shut out of the T30.

+1 WL by Indiana, though? Ouch. Evidently that story wasn't very good.
