You don't get an admissions boost.

Yeah, it's basically just saying that schools want a diverse student body. I wouldn't look too far into it. Asians generally dominate the world of standardized testing, so you will not be getting a boost for your minority status.

You may be a minority in the USA, but not in law schools. Plenty of Asians for everyone there. Check the appropriate box, have a great GPA/LSAT, and then move on.

Good luck to you.

You will be counted as a part of the diversity pool, but you will receive no admissions boost.

Asian-Americans make up 5% of the population but 8% of law students, so they are not under-represented.

It's a lot higher in T14 schools. If anything we are over represented by a whole lot.

What does East-India mean; not First Nation? or Bengal?

This is so confusing.

Yeah Asians make up about 12% of the T14.

If the ship is dutch or english.

Interesting factoid I heard that at one point the city of liverpool (Beetles, horrible accents) was responsible for more than one half of the slave trade.

No, Asians are not URM. Not even your kind of Asians. Sorry.

Win the LSAT, check the right box, and don't sweat the small stuff.

At my school, admissions has been pushing to get more asians to apply since not many seem to want to come. The admissions office has made it clear that they will give an extra "boost" in addition to the boost that they get for the gross institutional disadvantages that asians suffer (which result in lower lsat scores and gpas).
