Retake LSAT in June?
Hey need some advice,
Based on how my cycle is going so far, I am anticipating a waitlist from my number 1 school. Would it help me to retake the LSAT in June purely for the purpose of putting my new (hopefully better) score into my LOCI?
Any help is appreciated, Thanx

Is it really that obvious? How much would a new score really help me get off a waitlist?

Definitely call the school to see if they'll even consider the June LSAT score. (You should have already done this)

Doesn't a waitlist notice tell you to send in any new developments? I think this would qualify as such.

Can a school even verify your shiny new LSAT score if they aren't able to consider it.

No use crying over spilled milk. As Teddy Roosevelt said: Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure...than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.

T. S. Elliot seems to think you should retake. "Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go."

I was asking a simple question about whether to retake the LSAT. Not really interested in your knowledge of famous quotes or what not. Oh yeah, and ha ha your avatar is an avatar. Real original!

You are completely out of your mind. Why the heck am I getting waitlisted at every top 14 that I applied to?

Re: Retake LSAT in June?
^ I had an encounter with a school telling me they would not consider a June LSAT score for those on the WL. I sent the school an email after raising my score 7+ points and was accepted off the WL one busy day later.zimbadimp wrote:Definitely call the school to see if they'll even consider the June LSAT score. To the OP: Take what they tell you with a grain of salt. If the improvement is good enough to make you very good #'s wise for them to accept, then I would think most schools would be inclined to accept you off the WL, no matter what their stated policy is. If you think you can improve 3+ points, I say go for it.

I am retaking the LSAT in June although I got into my target school. If I do good enough, maybe I'll take a year off apply w/ better numbers.

Re: Retake LSAT in June?
I figure what is there to lose if I put down a deposit at my safety school and retake in June and maybe i'll get lucky. I scored lower than I was practicing so I'll probably give it a shot.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
