Whoever mentioned that it was contextual and varied across urm type is right. As a case study, though my file was somewhat unique, my cycle has been instructive: 3.75-3.85 gpa, 167 lsat, cuban american. Got into nu, chicago, and umich. Wld at others. Rej at uva nyu. Some schools considered cuban urm, others flatly didn't.

I imagine this happens on a case by case basis by school by year, if for example uofc needed an extra 2% hispanic. Pays to invoke fee waivers
