Is this the post you're referring to, macatak? If so, my request still stands.

Edit: where exactly is the post about working full time? I can't find it.
Yeah, that's the post.

Here's some other info from the other LSU thread:

"The University's residency requirements are based off of this:

http://lsuhsc.edu/no/Administration/pm/pm-31.pdf

I was told if my residency status changes, my scholarship would decrease to the value of in-state tuition proportionately. For example, if you have a 3/4 scholarship with out-of-state tuition and then change to in-state tuition rates, your scholarship will change to be 3/4 scholarship of in-state tuition.

I got this information from the LSU adcom's office recently because i was wondering the same exact things as yall."

----------------

Yeah I can't find the full time job reference in either thread. Must have been a PM between me and someone else (I delete my PMs...can't go back).

If you can satisfy this requirement, you have a chance IMO:

"The individual’s physical presence within this state for one year must be associated with substantial
evidence that such presence was with the intent to maintain a Louisiana domicile."

This would seem next to impossible to satisfy unless lets say you have a job or own a house or something to that effect. If I were you I'd call LSU Admissions on Monday to clarify, they can probably give you a better answer over the phone.

Yeah... looks like you have to own a house to get even a sniff of in-state tuition... cause having a job won't be possible.

The ratio of in-state to out-of-state alumna is around 7 to 1. That alone should satisfy this requirement, but I digress. Thank you for the info.

Also, can anyone tell me why Baton Rouge looks so dreary through Google Maps? I'll be visiting for the first time in April, but would like to have an idea as to the feel of the town.

Are you referring to: http://www.law.lsu.edu/index.cfm?geaux= ... ilocations ?

If so, that's where people go after graduation, not necessarily after.

What part of BTR u looking at? Don't judge off of downtown, nobody goes there. Much of the "college" area is south of campus.

Yes.

I'm not sure what you mean by this.

I looked at a few areas, some south of campus, some north, and some east. Maybe I'm just used to this eternally sunny Florida I've been living in for the past 5 years. Or maybe the satellite caught Baton Rouge on a bad day. I am worried that my surroundings won't be as appealing as they are here, though.

The campus itself is beautiful...the surrounding area looks just like any other suburban area (IMO)...

I'm having a problem getting into the actual room. It's asking for a room password, and I have no clue what it is.

It's Geaux Law, and it's cap sensitive. Don't feel bad, mac had to help me out on that. It's on the email notification that they sent us.

Missed the webchat but has anyone accepted around feb. 11th received word on scholarships. I am instate w LSAT and GPA above median, but received a full ride from Loyola N.O., which will make it a much harder decision since LSU is my top school.

Even though it seemed lamed at times, I actually enjoyed the chat today. It made me feel better about the fact that I'm a northerner that's moving down south and that people are cool with that. I look forward to everyone on this thread that plans on going to LSU, so we can sit back and shoot the shit as well as stress over the exams together. I wish all of you the best and hope that this class is the coolest I've ever been in.

Feb 17th here still waiting. They said during that chat that the scholarshipcom is out of
town this week but the next scholarship meeting is Monday. Hopefully we know next week!

I was in the webchat today and thought I saw this and maybe someone can reassure. Did I read correctly that Law Review is 70% grades and 30% write-on? Meaning even if you do great on exams you still have to do the write-on competition?

Joshua says to  (17:43):

@macatak: Law review is based 30% on your paper and 70% on your grades

Leisa says to  (17:43):

@macatak - There are also up to 2 spots solely based on paper score

Wouldn't read too much into it. Admissions people in the chat said scholarship com. out of town this week, next wave of decisions on Monday.

Email or mail? What did it say?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
