Re: LSU 2010
does anyone have their scholarship amount listed on their paws account? I have my financial aid offers listed but there is no grant aid listed. But I had received a scholarship.

Just tried to check my section, and no schedule yet. Most likely, it is because I am graduating in the summer instead of the spring.

Jessica, I'm graduating in the summer and my schedule is up. Maybe they just didn't finish sorting through them all yet or something, and yours might be up soon?JessicaTiger wrote:Just tried to check my section, and no schedule yet. Perhaps now that they are figuring out sections they will start filling in the gaps with waitlist hopefuls...?

Re: LSU 2010
I was planning on applying for a couple, but i wasn't sure if the "statement" referred to in the email should be a grand sales pitch or just a justification of what facts are relevant to the particular scholarship. Regardless, mine shouldn't be more than a page, if that long.JessicaTiger wrote:I suppose this email only went out to those who were accepted, so for those that are- did you get the endowed scholarship eligibility email? Re: LSU 2010
Everyone else got the email earlier in the day regarding schedules won't be final till next week?
I believe that the sections (ex. 1,2,3) are final. What they are doing right now is putting us in subsections. For example, last night I was in section 2 across the board. Today I am in Section 9 for Writing. One of my friends was in section 3 across the board last night. Today he is in a higher number for Writing and Contracts. Contracts has two different classes per section.
So my theory is that our "base sections" are decided but they are still subdividing us.
I feel like cattle.

Well, we all knew about Writing, but Contracts is a bit of a surprise. For some reason, I do remember them saying something about it at ASD. *shrugs*macatak911 wrote:Everyone else got the email earlier in the day regarding schedules won't be final till next week?

Re: LSU 2010
Though it's weird. If you go to PAWS then to Law Course Offerings there's only 5 classes listed for Contracts. Our has 8 slots left while the other 4 have 50 slots. So they probably haven't messed with Section 2 contracts yet....or we're going to be in a giant Contracts class :banghead: ....budget cuts....JessicaTiger wrote:Well, we all knew about Writing, but Contracts is a bit of a surprise. It's always a possibility because not everyone who has sent in their seat deposit has made a final decision on which school(if they've applied to multiple schools) they will attend this fall. There are still people out there who are hearing from schools right now, so keep your fingers crossed and good luck to you.boadicea wrote:Perhaps now that they are figuring out sections they will start filling in the gaps with waitlist hopefuls...?

Waitlist decisions are made when other people decide to withdraw, not when section decisions are done. Good luck!
And thought I would post a link to this now, especially as we are starting to find out about some of our professors. There is one that is near and dear to students' hearts- so special that a website of his quotations was started a while ago.
TheRath.com (LinkRemoved)
Mainly quotations from Professor Bockrath, but it looks like the site has recently opened up to other professors as well.

Re: LSU 2010
Just withdrew today officially. Another school just made a financial play that I couldn't say no to in the end. I hope someone here gets my spot. I have to say that the administrative side of LSU Law Center is the best I've dealt with among the law schools I've dealt with in this cycle. They have been clear and upfront about everything and very quick to respond to any questions or comments I've had about the program. All of you that are going to this school are damn lucky. I've gone to a school where the administrative side is a cluster fuck to say the least. The fact that this side of LSU has their shit together will make your lives alot easier for the next 3 years.
Good luck to all of you Tigers. I'll still pull for LSU in SEC football.
