does anyone know how easy, or difficult, it is to switch to the full time program after your first semester or first year? i didn't see anything about this on the website

Thanks VR, it's finally great knowing I have the opportunity to be a part of unlv!

Moe - I looked in the Student Handbook on the site and it doesn't really provide much information about transferring into the day division either. Although, it does say that PT students can enroll in more than 11 credits with approval by the Dean of Student Advancement. Not quite sure if this is may be an informal way of "transferring" to full-time or not. You may want to email them to be sure.

Him: Let me see if I can make you a little more great. The admissions committee met yesterday and reviewed your addendum (LOCI); they have decided to extend you an offer.

Me: *stunned silence, followed by thoughts of "holy crap... I'm moving to Vegas*

So, it is possible to come off the WL -- I know, I've done it.

alisyn313: i'm super confused now too... i've already sent in my deposit to a similarly ranked school that is giving me a full scholarship for a full time program. however, being from so cal.. i would LOVE to go to UNLV which is only a 4 hour drive away from home. ahhh decisions, decisions. i guess i will just patiently wait for my packet to arrive before making up my mind.

I'm still In Review... does it help to send a LOCI before they even say that you are on hold or on a waitlisted?

I know my chances are slim but seriously hoping..

If you have something valuable to mention in your LOCI (something new, different, or some epiphany you've had about how they're a perfect fit for you and you'd 100% accept an offer from them) then I would say send away. However, they are swamped as it is, so if you're thinking about submitting a LOCI for the sake of submitting one -- I'm not sure how much it would help speed up the process.

i'm getting stupid frustrated with how long i've been in review with UNLV. i'm so happy that my reference letter writers were 2 months late in their submission, causing my application to back to the bottom of the pile.

Yes I did send my LOCI directly to Nathan Neely.

It talked about my visit to campus and how I felt it was an ideal fit. It also updated them on some new things in my life (new legal-related job, updated grades, etc).

My stats are a bit screwy. My UGPA is a 3.5, but LSAC came up with a 3.15 (that issue was addressed in an addendum) and my LSAT was a 161
