Who'd you hear from? - Post-December LSAT Applicants

Post by bloodonthetracks » Tue Jan 19, 2010 1:16 am

This is a thread for people who applied (or completed their applications) after the December 2009 LSAT. It would be nice to stay updated on the progress of late-cycle applicants like myself.

I'm a re-taker from September so I already had my applications in, but I've been accepted to Akron, OSU, WUSTL, and W&M since the December LSAT. W&L and Cincinnati accepted me just based on my September score.

I carpet-bombed T14 at the end of December, and I haven't gone under review yet anywhere (except at Berkeley, which doesn't mean shit).

Nada. Went complete first week of January, shortly after scores were released. Frustrating, but not unexpected.

I sent my American app in after the December LSATs and my status checker changed to "decision made" on Friday. I'm hoping to get my decision via snail mail tomorrow.

No decisions yet here, submitted late December/early January. UR at Berkeley, complete at UVA and GULC, and also Lewis and Clark, waiting to go complete everywhere else (and it's a long list: HYS, CCN, Penn, Cornell, BU, BC and GW).

I blanketed T20-40 and haven't heard anything. I submitted all of my apps in the first week of January.

I don't think they have mountain goats in colorado, but I lol'd anyway.

Acceptance from Denver, under review at W&M, UVA, Notre Dame, Minnesota, BU, forget some of the rest. All submitted first or second week in January.

How did you go UR at UVA and BU already? (For that matter, how do you know you're UR at BU? No status checker.)

Term: Year: 2010
Program Time: Full Time Degree: JD
Current Status: File Complete, Pending Review/Decision
Current Status Date: 1/11/2010
Is the text of my UVA tracker. I am assuming that means under review.

I was mistaken on BU; they had sent me an e-mail that I thought said I was under review. Rather, it said they would let me know when I was.

Oh, I have the same for UVA (more or less, dated to 1/6/2010). I interpreted it as Complete, but you may be right that it means UR. Same e-mail from BU; actually, they said I have permission to nag them after two weeks with no news of completion, so I will tomorrow as today is two weeks from their e-mail.

December LSAT re-take, applied in October but asked schools to hold until after Dec LSAT.

In @ WUSTL 1/14

WL @ UCLA 1/05

Decision @ Michigan (most likely rejection) 1/09

Still waiting to hear from nearly 20 schools (had a fee waiver)

Well, I was going to hunt you down and eliminate one competitor at two schools I really want ... but that cat is way too cute.

My avatar is my greatest defense in an argument :D

Also, don't worry, I suspect I will end up withdrawing from both, depending on how much I can use them to leverage scholarships higher up.

Eek, that sounds ridiculously arrogant--sorry. UVA and BU are both great schools, and I'm glad to have the opportunity to be considered at either.

There is nothing arrogant about being competitive at good schools. Go get 'em.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
