Dear NYU:

Long ago, when I applied, I heard rumors that you might not like my application. A few of my friends and classmates had been WL/dinged in previous cycles with competitive stats, so, because you were geographically closest to my home, I prepared a LOCI and diversity statement that I would send in case of a WL.

Time passed. Your prettier sister, Columbia, asked me out. Your rich, hot cousin, Harvard, has been emailing me three times a day. The school most like you, except with better NY placement, UPenn (You thought it was Columbia. In your dreams), offered me serious money for my attentions. By the time I got your waitlist email, it would have been too much trouble to search my hard drive for the LOCI. So while I stroll among ivied walls with a prestigious new computer for whatever prestigious offer I choose, the LOCI will gather moss on my old hard drive, next to my kids' cartoon collection. And you can put your waitlist where the sun don't shine - and by that, I do not mean lower Manhattan.

Sincerely,

Delusional

PS: Seriously, WTF?

Dear WUSTL,

Next year, please reduce your application to one simple question: Is your LSAT score above 167? ( Y = In, N= Out).

Also, may I recommend changing your name to "University of Hawaii in St. Louis"....it sounds more tropical.

my deepest love and respect,

I heard on the news the other day that Houston is considered worse than Harlem now regarding crime.

I got dinged the same day; thanks for keeping me safe, UH!

Harlem isn't crime ridden. Try another borough.

Harlem also isn't a borough

I know that? I meant try comparing Houston to somewhere like Queens or Brooklyn or the Bronx. Harlem pales in comparison. And it's half gentrified.

Dear Fordham,

Why should I have to sign up for your waitlist on surveymonkey.com? Do you not have an IT staff that can post a form for you?

You can survey my monkey.

All Best,

J

Dear IU-Indianapolis

I must say, you really broke my heart. Not only did you take 4 months just to start reviewing my file, but then you ask me to wait a longer to see if any spots open? What should I do? I guess I'll have no other choice but to attend the higher ranked school that already accepted me and not pay the tuition of a T14. Oh the sorrow.

Gin

P.S. I would never have noticed you made decision if you had not emailed me.

Dear Cornell,

Thanks for waiting until mid-April to look at my application, then taking all of two days to reject me.

SMU Dedman: Dinged last month.

...has more douches than a Walgreens
...I would have only had about $126,000 worth of student loan debt. I'm definitely looking for a law school that can give me $130,000 or more.

To the tune of "Glory Glory Hallelujah":

Oh mine eyes have seen the glory of your horrid list of wait
For it saved me from hellish hole that is your whole damn state,
Your gov'ment stinks, your people suck, your legal market's sick,
so STANFORD SUCK MY DICK!

Chorus:
To hell, to hell, to hell with Stanford!
To hell, to hell, to hell with Stanford!
To hell, to hell, to hell with Stanford
and California sucks!

Oh you prob'bly saw the word "WASP" jump out from my resume,
You guessed it since I'm neither black, nor brown, nor poor, nor gay,
Well that's alright 'cause you can make decisions how'e'er you see,
Enjoy diversiTTTy!

Chorus:
To hell, to hell, to hell with Stanford!
To hell, to hell, to hell with Stanford!
To hell, to hell, to hell with Stanford
and California sucks!

Oh mine eyes have seen the glory of the blog that no one reads,
No one cares when you are giddy, no one cares for all you plead,
You'd go so far to write about some aggravating itch,
You narcissistic bitch!

Chorus:
To hell, to hell, to hell with Stanford!
To hell, to hell, to hell with Stanford!
To hell, to hell, to hell with Stanford
and California sucks!

I'm still really mad about being flat rejected by George Mason-- less than a week after I went complete. Months later, and with a decent cycle...

Dear Widener School of Law:

The only freaking law school in the State of Delaware... give a a damn break!!! A bunch of in-bred Dupont regects... omg was dinged 4-15 and honestly thank the lord for not raising the national debt any by attending this tier 4 school. I'd rather go to law school online and save $100,000 for my kids future.

That Philly Chick
Go Eagles!!!!
