Re: Held By Harvard Club - 2010
i honestly think some of you will get in, although probably very few. the way the emails are coming out, i think it's clear they're looking over the apps again, probably choosing a few to make a decision about after the major deposit deadlines pass.

That makes me sad. I wanted you to get in. I bet your summer will be way more enjoyable without the uncertainty though!odiero wrote:'nother rejection. email at 1145, EST.
application acknowledgment: 12/08
application complete: 1/14
held: 3/15
after getting the hold email, submitted a LOCI and two extra LORs -- the latter processed 4/05 and 4/16.
both LSAT and GPA below median. rejection certainly not a surprise.
i don't think we're all getting rejected! hang in there y'all!

I'm out too. I had been held on 4/2. But I will be in Cambridge this fall nonetheless, since I'm starting a master's at the Kennedy School.

They straight-up rejected a 3.82/174? and a 3.56/178? That's obscene, those people ought to have a much better shot of outright admission (or at least WL) than some of the people who have been waitlisted to date.
What is the big picture here, HLS?

lol, I can never match tls/lsn profiles if they don't a) have their stats in their tls profile or b) have the same usernames on both sites. I guess I don't pay enough attention.of Benito Cereno wrote:yea, cls it is. sorry to be all melodramatic just kinda let my hopes get the best of me. SO will be a student at Harvard's GSAS so next year will be a year of commuting (will be fun to constantly be reminded of how nice and convenient my life could have been if I had didn't have one bad semester...). I do like CLS a lot though so nothing to complain about in the grand scheme of things. Wondering why no WL though. I'm that 178.georgina wrote:wow, just wanted to say, sorry to hear. i was pulling for you! will you be joining the other splitters (me, blue, ..) at columbia?of Benito Cereno wrote: thanks for the condolences. pretty crushed and hurt but what can you do. a waitlist would have been nice. Yeah, I'm quite happy that I won't have this hanging over my head through the summer. You want it enough, so you'll manage I'm sure. That waitlist is yours! By which I mean: you'll get off it!

Sorry about the rejections, especially benito. Not sure which fate is worse.
I am surprised I was waitlisted when you guys for the most part have been accepted to much better schools than me.

so much for the "super secret committee for special people" theory. that'll go down in history as the form of delusional wishful thinking second only to the whole "when I die I get to live in the clouds with grandpa and all my dead pets" theory.
