Let's see someone from this group get the JR1 email tomorrow, now that apps are closed!

+1000000. Although I am highly skeptical. They are probably totally backed up compiling all those last minute apps. Poop.

I'm going to say no so I don't feel obligated to fly to Cambridge and compete with you.

I am planning on sending my LOCI tonight from abroad...maybe I'll drop the extra money to get it there more quickly. Also, I have having my recommender send it directly to the school. Wow a harvard acceptance would be the most amazing thing ever, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

At this point, the waiting game of the application process has drained all my mental strength, i would take any news from Harvard right now, even a rejection

Wait-- how do we know this?
(Sorry if I missed something posted earlier.)
people were speculating, because the app deadline for HLS is Feb 1. soon they'll have the entire applicant pool and should be ready to hand out some decisions
Harvard's application deadline is soft; they won't have the entire applicant pool by then.

It's almost comforting to have given up on harvard. thanks, yale ding, for crushing what little hope I had left and allowing me to focus on schools that are more in my league.

Well, i can officially join this thread. I was held on 1/6 via e-mail. Harvard replied to an e-mail I sent them about not hearing anything, and they said they'd sent an e-mail. I looked through my trash and there it was. Damn me.

That's what I keep telling myself. Still mad at the lady at the admissions office I spoke to last week who said the status checker would've said I was on hold if I was indeed held (this was before I'd seen the e-mail), which it did not and still does not.

That makes me nervous. I just checked my trash 3 times for a secret, unnoticed hold email.

Yikes, sorry to hear that man. In other news, it doesn't say held for any of us. The only change to my status checker after I got held was the date update.

Held today...never had a JR1; so, I'm looking @ this as a soft rejection...prob. will withdraw instead of torturing myself like many others in this thread :|

Straight to HLS seems to expedite the process. Posts in about 4-5 days.

Credited. I sent it through LSDAS and it took about 1.5 weeks.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
