The last I heard was when I spoke with the administrative assistant in the Admissions Office, she said they hadn't awarded them later and letter should be coming out soon (which was two weeks ago).

I called them today; they seemed polite enough. They told me my app was in review (I went complete in early Dec.)

So I got waitlisted today. Do any of you know how likely it is to get accepted off the waitlist? The FAQ list said that there was a 0-15% chance I would be admitted, but I was wondering if anyone had any other information. 0-15% is a pretty big gap. I'd hate to get my hopes up for a 0% chance.

I have been complete at South Carolina since early January. No news yet. I have called several times and was told that my app was in review.

+1. I applied in November. I have heard absolutely nothing. I have not called, however. My numbers are good enough.

Was told by admissions last week (they emailed me needing more information on something) that they were meeting last Wednesday to make "final decisions" on candidates.

Apparently I have a decision letter in the mail, but it didn't come today, and I live VERY close to Columbia. Which makes me hopeful that it wasn't mailed with the batch of waitlist letters.

Well, considering that everybody in this thread, and everybody on LSN who has updated in the past 3 days has gotten waitlisted, I'd say it doesn't look good for you.

Eh. They've turned down very few 165+s over the last few years, so I feel alright about it. I think given my proximity, I would have received a letter already had it been sent with that batch.

FWIW, this is the email sent by the lady from admissions:

The Committee will be meeting this Wednesday to make its final selections, so you are welcome to respond via e-mail.

That was last Monday, I believe. I get the idea that hopefully some admits/rejects were included in that decision process.

I would hope so, but most of my apps are still out and I have 0 "ins" yet, so I'm still pretty nervous. Hope you guys get off the WL. I see on LSN where a lot of people got off the WL and into substantial scholly money (which seems really weird to me on a number of levels).
