They need to let more of you in already, it's getting lonely with only 8 pages. Interested to see if UNC will step up to the competition and match Wake's generosity??

I'm not a splitter as much as I am a median OOSer with an awesome personality!!!! They clearly haven't gotten to that applicant pool yet  j/k

I also wanted to congratulate the people with Wake Scholarships/UNC acceptances. It amazes me though how the public school can eventually become more expensive than the private school when you get done with financial aid and scholarships. When I went to UG, I chose my private school because it was ultimately the same price as my state school when all was said and done. Public schools can be a huge misconception.

Me too. I would love easy access to Carolina Panthers football games. I live a few minutes from UNC, so I couldn't see myself leaving for Winston-Salem. Really great people at WFU though.

Checking in, waiting for the acceptance package in the mail.

I'll be talking to some UNC students soon, anybody have any specific questions they wanted answered?

Ugh, I have had the worst day apps-wise. Realized I didn't mail my residency form to UNC, so am still not complete even though I applied in early December (I just got my incomplete e-mail); got waitlisted at NC Central with a 163/3.7. WTF?

I really hope the delay of that form doesn't f* me up at UNC. And I really wanted Central as one cheap option in my backyard, just for security's sake...

It's 9:30 pm, I have another hour of work to do at the office before going home, and I desperately need some affirmation I am not going to be stuck in this job and am, indeed, going to law school.

Come on UNC! Don't give up on me!

Sorry for the rant.

That's so weird about NCCU. We're almost numbers twins (I'm 163/3.74) and I got in last week, no LOCI. I thought I had a solid chance at WL/R (even though it was a super safety, basically) because of yield protect. Sounds like they might have done that to you. One thing, though..I'm pretty sure they had a "what other law schools are you applying to?" question on the application and I definitely didn't answer it, maybe that in and of itself was kind of a LOCI? You know, not letting them know that I'm also applying to (target) schools like Wake, UNC and Campbell. I really don't know, though.

Also, in keeping in topic with the thread...HURRY UP UNC. I can't believe I applied to 11 schools and the one 2 hours away (and in state!) will likely be the LAST one I hear from :(

Hey all - long time lurker, first time poster.

I was accepted to UNC (notified last week), and got the admissions packet in the mail today. I live near Chapel Hill, so it will be a few days for those of you farther away.

The ASW dates are 3/19 and 4/16 for this year.

What all is in the packet? Any scholarship info?

There is not much info, really. It came in a regular envelope - not the 'packet' I was expecting. There is a copy of the acceptance letter that was emailed, some discussion of the terms of acceptance (official transcript, medical questionnaire, etc), and a brief paragraph about ASW. It said that additional info about ASW will be communicated later, and invited you to participate in the daily visitation program for a tour and to observe a class. Also included is the deposit form that has to be sent back to verify acceptance.

Just got the packet as well.

Final transcript due before enrollment and scholarships will be awarded in March. Need based scholarships are determined in late June/July.

Congrats to all the admits!

Tried looking at past posts, but I think this will be much quicker and concise.
Does anyone know which method of notification UNC uses for acceptances, waitlists, and rejections?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
