I am writing here b/c the Duke waitlist forum is totally silent. got a feeler email from Duke on wed and responded right away saying i'd accept .. they said they'd keep me posted in "coming days". it's 5pm on Fri the 1st and I'm dying. Should I safely assume I'm in? Thx all! (I am checking this forum as I expect the admissions process to be similar to Duke's)
Haha it's funny that you did this because I would shamelessly do the same thing if I were you too.

And usually feeler emails are an indication of future acceptance. I'm not familiar with how Duke does things but it's usually an indication. Good luck!

Thanks!:)) Makes me feel better. It would be mean to send an email "would you be able to accept an offer" and then send you another later saying "Never-mind, just kidding" lol :) But I understand there's a process and still not a guarantee. I will keep everyone posted.:)

According to TLS forums from the last couple years they made interest gauging phone calls on this Monday....so phones out everyone! My landlord in nyc is starting to show my place today and I'm going to philly over the next couple days to sign a lease on a place there so today's the longest I could have held out anyway. Lol

Hi! This is my first time posting. I have been reading this blog, and finally feel I have something to contribute.

I spoke with Remi from the admissions office this afternoon (the very friendly person who tends to work in the afternoon). They are sending out about a half a dozen offers tomorrow and these offers with have a confirmation date for next Monday. Depending on the response rate, they will then send out offers next week. Remi added that if you haven't heard, either with a feeler email or phone call, or you are not UR, then you probably are not in this round.

Also, in the next two weeks, the will send out a reject list. Remi said they won't keep people waiting until orientation if they know they are incapable of offering them a spot. FYI several hundred people remain on the waitlist.

One thing important to know is that the admissions committee does not review your LOIC or additional letters of rec or even emails unless they have decided to review you. I know that sounds confusing, but I think it means don't send many LOIC. The office gets them, puts them in your file, then sends you that lovely email saying, "We appreciate this update and have included it in your file for review. Thank you for your continued interest in NYU School of Law." I was under the false assumption the admissions committee got everything I sent after my application in October and reviewed it then.

I'm lucky because I do not have other plans for this fall. My second choice offered me a deferment. I am able to wait up till the last day. Unfortunately, I don't live in New York, but would be willing to make a fast move.

Has anyone been contacted lately (perhaps, even, today)? Waiting since mid April has been torturous and these last few minutes, hours, and days before that decision finally arrives still suck!

The waitlist struggle is so bad even students from other law schools have hopped on board. Welcome aboard!

Despite the confirmation deadline being last Friday we still haven't been given roommates yet so it's possible NYU is still playing around with a couple things

Just an update - after getting a feeler email on Friday, I went UR on Monday, DLS Tuesday, and I just got my acceptance package in the mail.

Thinking happy thoughts for everyone still waiting to hear!

Just got this e-mail:

Thank you for your continued interest in NYU School of Law. There is a possibility that the Admissions Committee will make a limited number of additional offers in the very near future. If you are still in a position to accept an offer of admission if a seat were to become available, please reply to this email and let us know promptly. If there is a date after which you would no longer be able to accept an offer from NYU Law, please be sure to include that in your reply as well. Whether and when we will be able to make additional offers of admission is uncertain, but we will do our best to reach a final decision on your application as soon as possible.

If you have made firm plans to attend another law school in the fall, we wish you all the best. Please write to us to officially withdraw from waitlist consideration.

Thank you for your patience, and please let us know if you have any questions.

Has anyone gotten this and not gotten in???

Everything that's happened so far ITT seems to suggest this is definite. But, I wouldn't act on it until you get the official "IN." Try your best to buy some limited time in other areas that require attention in the meantime (e.g., apartment leases and the like).

Cannot guarantee it, but I'm 99.9% sure that you are. It is certainly worth it to slow down the PA leasing process-- had a similar experience with UVA, and it paid off to just let folks know that I needed another 2-3 days to work things out.

I got this too! Not trying to be presumptuous but does anyone know how the loans situation works at this point? I have loans going to a law school already but would obviously want to go to NYU if I indeed am accepted. Anyone know if we can switch them at this stage??

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
