Re: December Curve Poll
This test will have a -11 curve.
The curves on both september and june were liberal. I feel that lsac will keep this trend going.
The LR sections were both slightly more difficult than the LR on the last few Lsats.
The gains in RC and AR will be offset by a marginally more difficult LR

RC was a pain this time, and the LG from sept were an absolute joke.katieg wrote:What was so hard about this one compared to September? I thought it was on the average/easy side.

LSAC doesn't make the decision on the curve...ram jam wrote:This test will have a -11 curve.

See I thought LG was easy this time but I thought RC was a bitch.Panther7 wrote:RC was a pain this time, and the LG from sept were an absolute joke.katieg wrote:What was so hard about this one compared to September? I thought it was on the average/easy side.

What did you all think about the in/out game (i think it was the third one)? I had trouble with that one for some reason.

Took me almost double that amount of time. Fortunately the second one was a cakewalk. I managed to finish with a couple of minutes to spare.HelperMonkey wrote:Comparative reading took me 11 minutes... I somehow made up the difference before the last section but still ran out of time really analyzing the last question of the RCBenBen wrote:Didn't finish LG or RC. The comparative reading passage took more than 15 minutes, leaving me with little time for the remaining passages. If only this passage had come towards the end. If, if , if....... Thought I would be through with the LSAT after this second time of taking it but no, not until some of this disappointment fades. Back to life.... give me a few minutes... I think I'm feeling better.... better now, but still not completely recovered.
Hope my gut was right.

Wasn't the third one undefined? I thought it was murder. That's probably because I wasted a lot of time on the first one. The first one was easy....I just didn't enough sleep last night. Took a long time to get things together.katieg wrote:What did you all think about the in/out game (i think it was the third one)? I had trouble with that one for some reason.

Undefined=in/out. It seemed easy, but I guess I missed a big ass inference because I had a hell of a time with the questions and just went to the 4th game.Snuffie wrote:Wasn't the third one undefined? I found LR medium, LG very easy (had 10 minutes to spare, so maybe I did something horribly wrong), and RC difficult. I took the pessimist route and went with -8.

Re: December Curve Poll
It seems to me that the curve is arbitrary. In 2008, the Sept. test was hard and had a shitty curve. December '08 was easy with a nice curve. In Sept. of this year, the test was easy/average and had a really nice curve.
I have no idea what to expect.

-11 is wishful thinking, IMO. I am going to go with -10.

Re: December Curve Poll
In a normal year it would be a -11, but because of the enormous amount of new test takes, may of whom were proably unprepared, im predicting -12/-13, RC was a bitch, LG was easy for those who put in the hours but like i said most proably did not, LR was medium to hard.

Re: December Curve Poll
No, you're right on. Actually these games were much harder than Sept, or probably any LG section since the PTs in the 30s. And I think the RC was only slightly easier. I don't think it evens out, and I think this one gets a -11 or -12 for sure. LG seems to be a thorn in most people's sides, especially those that don't study a ton, so a harder LG should bring down the curve more than a harder LR or RC. At least that's the way I feel.CanadianEH wrote:LR seemed easier, same with RC. Maybe games were harder.HelperMonkey wrote:It's at least as hard as September.

-14, one of the most generous curves ever.Remnantofisrael wrote:and what was the curve/adjust in the end?
On the other hand, the June 2009 poll predicted -11, and it was -11, so....
