Does anyone have any strategies for how to attack Parallel Reasoning questions without wasting a lot of time on them?

Matching the conclusion is the first step. For example: if the stimulus conclusion has a 100% level of certainty ("this will happen.") but the conclusion of an answer choice reads "this will likely happen," you've got yourself a loser.

I definitely do that as a means to eliminate answer choices quickly but I get stuck when trying to match evidence/conclusion from stimulus to the answer choices. I don't really struggle with questions where the transitive property is used or in situations where I can diagram. I mostly have a hard time on the lengthy questions and it seems too time consuming to diagram each answer choice. I may try saving parallel reasoning questions until the end of the section on my next PT. Has anyone tried this?

If it is a monster of a question (i.e., no easy diagramming) then I will sometimes save it for the end, especially if it is a later question. Also, if diagramming and matching conclusions and premises doesn't work, I will try to abstract the question--"Oh, this 100 word, convoluted stimulus is simply saying not to invest in pursuits which don't have long-term gain. Okay."

I agree that on those really long questions, saving them can be a good idea. When you get back to them though:

When diagramming isn't working for you, try to at least articulate in words what's going on. I found fancy diagrams slower and less accurate than just trying to say it the terms I think in (which is obviously different for everyone). Lastly, one thing that sometimes tripped me up on really hard questions was missing plural vs. singular. Sometimes that's the difference between two answer choices that are hard to decide between that will show you the CR.
