I just let told her and showed her your post. In response, she said, "Look, an alligator." I said, "No, a gaterlion."

She looked confused.

Ha, fair enough!

i'm in with you guys, too. applying for the 2011 cycle, currently a senior taking a year off between college and law school. how far are you guys in prep? i'm gonna study with the 3 bibles and the superprep book. after that, just taking and reviewing all the recent preptests.... i'm already through the LG bible, so i'm moving onto the RC bible starting today!

hope we can keep encouraging each other to keep up the prep throughout the next 4 months.

Same reasoning. Taking it in Feb, allows time for necessary adjustments to the application. +1

Count me in too! I just registered for the Feb. exam. I am not planning on taking this more than once but if I bomb I could retake in June and still apply early.

I believe these are all valid reasons for taking the LSAT in February so that there is enough time should some error occur. Don't ask Gatorlion though, we're all fools for preparing so early. I've read quite a few posts on this site over the last few months and this person does seem to win the award for biggest TLS douche. I'd be upset if I studied Geography too and then decided on law school.

Aside from his interruption in this thread - is anyone planning on taking a course prior to the LSAT as well? I will study alone until mid December when my PowerScore class starts. This is getting expensive so early in the process, ugh! Luckily free rides in UG and an assload of extra scholarship money is being well spent. Thank you, taxpayers :)

I'm taking a Powerscore Virtual class that starts in November and runs to Jan. 31. I'm working through older LSAT sections to get comfortable (again!) with the exam. So many things have kept me from taking this exam but I'm determined to get it done in Feb. Good luck everyone!

I thought about a review class but decided by Dec or Jan I would already be comfortable enough with the philosophies that a class would just be another expense. Worst case is I have to pay a tutor for a few days of help on my problem areas. Otherwise I plan on using Pithy's template for the next 2-3 months. If I need more help than that I'll phone a friend.

I'm planning for Feb 2010 too. For me it is a combo of wanting to get it done early so I can spend next fall working exclusively on my apps, and my work schedule. I'm a realtor, so my work load is really slow in November, December, and early January, but February through August are killer, late nights and unpredictable hours. I don't know if I could reliably put the time in for the June or September tests.

Anyway, I'm going to spend the next few weeks working through the bibles. Then I'll see where I stand and either do testing and review on my own after the bibles or sign up for a PS virtual class if it seems like I still need the help after the bibles.

I signed up for the February LSAT the other day and finally took my first timed prep test last night. I agree with pretty much everyone else that if I bomb this I can always retake in June, not that I'm planning on that. September would be a crazy time for me since I have my senior design project that semester (graduating next December). Good luck to everyone.

Glad to see that there is already a boat I can get into with other people. I signed up for the February LSAT, going to law school (hopefully) in fall 2011. I'm planning on starting to study right after Halloween. (I live in Madison, halloween = big deal)

I too am taking the February exam. I did a diagnostic a couple days ago, plan to skim the Bibles and then take tests.

Once again the need for a sarcasm font manifests itself. Or maybe just a sarcasm emote.

This is so great to see a lot of people preparing so early for this test. At first I felt a little overwhelmed since Feb. is far off, but knowing I'm not alone in this illustrates the solidarity in our torture. ;) I think having winter break, although it's only two weeks long for me, to study will definitely help since I start my PS class the day after finals. So far my highest diagnostic was 165 but I am looking for minimum of 170 to get into my "dream" schools. RC seems to be a cake walk and I've missed one question out of all sections I've taken but LG are kicking my ass. Ugh...more time needed I suppose. Good luck everyone!

I disagree with the sarcasm font. It is much more fun to instantly take offence and jump to the wrong conclusion. :) anyway like the old joke goes. If it wasn't for jumping to conclusion, flying off at the handle or backstabbing most people wouldn't get any exercise.

Anyway this let members spam the forums and build up post points . :D

You already posted that you're an Ivy League URM with a 178. Are you:

A) A liar.

—OR—

B) Overcome by hubris.

Please select one. I'm curious, since I went out of my way to defend you against the cries of "BURN THE TROLL!" in your What Are My Chances? thread.

haha wow you guys are trips. You're dying to be moderators lol.
I am taking the february LSAT, I haven't gotten below a 179 though after my diagnostic so I just said 178 to guess since I wanted advice on law schools but didn't want to tell everyone I 'knew i was going to do well' lol.

nice job making sure every poster is consistent lol

Just not sure why you would trade your credibility for something that LSP could've told you in the first place. Cheers.
